  1. Bollocks How is it bollocks? We haven't won a match since the 13th September. We're a massive club floating near relegation - THAT is bollocks.
  2. Pretty sure this "glad we got a point" phrase is becoming dangerous. It's tantamount to accepting relegation.
  3. Consider me "****"ed then. All I hear in my head when walking around shopping centres with the piped-in bloody humbug carols is "remember, shoppers: spend, spend, spend". It could be worse. You could work in one of those places. I have to listen to the same 20 christmas songs, on a loop, 9 hours a shift, for 8 weeks. I'm near suicide already.
  4. Currently trending on the internetz: The club is refusing to hold a 1 min silence before the game, so this is the fans' response.
  5. Yup, Joe Cole thinks he's doing a top job: http://www.independent.ie/sport/soccer/premier-league/roy-keane-has-brought-something-special-to-aston-villa-joe-cole-30597668.html
  6. Ok I'll give a more in-depth response: how do you know he's nasty and vindictive? Because the media makes him look like an evil barsteward at every possible opportunity? Because that's the image he's been charged with? Keano has a cult image. Everyone thinks he's some sort of maniac and he plays the character very well. Again, referring to his latest book, he talks about today's football not having characters and drama that keep fans entertained. He said today's footballers focus purely on the game and there is no real pre and post match "extras." "Oh look, Keano's kicking off and being mental again!" Or maybe, as captain, he was defending Neville, who Viera was trying to pick a fight with (we don't see that bit though, eh?). Keano even admitted in that incident that Viera would probably have killed him, but it was his duty to see that Neville wasn't bullied by a much bigger bloke. So yeah, Keano may flip his lid sometimes, but it's only because 1) it's his character and 2) he gives a damn. Try telling me this guy isn't a good bloke to have at Villa: To me, Keano is akin to a Sergeant Major. Yes you may think he's a right c*** but he's only shouting at you because he wants you to do well! Don't believe the media BS!
  7. Keano has a massive drive to win and succeed. You get a real feel for it if you read his latest book. Villa need that more than anything at the mo. I can't think of anything worse than losing such a strong and influencial figure at a time like this. I'd put money on his direct influence over the Spurs and Hammers games - ok the result weren't great, but the players look like they had drive, rather than just giving up at the first hurdle. And what about the other games? Does he not have a direct influence on them? If not, then I really don't want him here as I want an assistant manager who is interested 100% of the time. If yes then he's contributed to more bad results than good. I really don't see the positives in publicly speaking negatively about a players family member, not do I see the positives of say he'd sack villa off if the Ireland results started to go bad. I like keane, think he's entertaining on tv, but he's well known for being disruptive. Well yeah, he definitely had an influence over the other games - the undefeated streak at the beginning was definitely "The Keane Effect." I was using the last 2 games as an example of the bad times... and fighting through them rather than giving up.

  9. You can find our injury list here: http://www.physioroom.com/news/english_premier_league/epl_injury_table.php Shame it has to come to a mass of injuries before Okore actually gets a game.
  10. http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/aston-villa-transfer-news-ron-8101149 Letting him leave in the summer... as a freebee... will be yet another nail in Lambert's coffin. Of which there must be about 1000 of them now...
  11. There is no way Darren Bent is starting. Not until he stops eating all the pies.
  12. I'm in the Pulis camp as well. As others have said, at least he'd keep us up. Ideally I'd love Jurgen Klinsmann at the helm
  13. Park the bus. Get shot at for 90 mins. Go home. More positives... but still dreadful, especially the end.
  14. Which makes absolutely no sense, as our undefeated streak at the beginning of the season was minus Tekkers. Personally, I think Tekkers was very selfish at the Spurs game. During the game he took a punt at goal and fluffed it... if he had simply tapped it to Westy (pretty sure it was him) then he would have had an easy tap-in. Even ignoring the red card, you could see he was getting frustrated with the fact he hadn't scored since being back - that is dangerous for us. The last thing we need right now is individuals trying to prove themselves and getting pished off when they can't convert. The team needs to be glued together and all working in tandem. As for Stewart Downing: - In 63 apps for Villa he scored 9 goals (9 ÷ 63 = 0.142 goals per appearance) - In 41 apps for the Hammers he's scored 3 goals (3 ÷ 41 = 0.073 goals per appearance) Granted, goals aren't the be-all and end-all... but with that kind of stat, I'm not really bothered by him. So what, he's been called up to England... so has Delph and I haven't seen him do much. Diafra Sakho on the other hand has scored 6 in 7 apps - that's worries me like fook
  15. I've been scouring the net and seen a lot of cocky attitudes and arrogance from West Ham fans. Some going as far to say they will smash us 5-0. Andi... you wanted a hat-trick a few weeks back. Now is the time for you to fulfill that! Batter these colour-stealing mongs!
  16. Facebook cover for the "Out" camp (or whatever use, as you see fit)
  17. I took a major positive from the Spurs game: Villa have found the attitude and spitting violence that has been absent for so long. Ok, so Tekkers took it too far, but watching Andi get angry put a massive smile on my face A p*ssed off Weiman and a p*ssed off Agbonlahor, in my eyes are going to be a threat. Ok, so we're not going to thrash them 5-0, but I can feel it in me bones... we might nick this if they channel that energy properly. Disappointing results + anger at being robbed in the last game + Keano effect (attitude / spitting violence) = I predict a riot. (A lot of people at my workplace are Hammers fans and I'm really gutted this one isn't being televised )
  18. WELL WELL WELL! It looks like we've got another Phil Dowd! http://www.goal.com/en-india/slideshow/889/7/title/10-worst-decisions-in-the-Premier League-season-so-far#
  19. Give Keano a number and put him in Midfield. Got to be better than the status-quo.
  20. I didn't catch the Refs name - can anyone tell me? Need to do a Photoshop of him in a Spurs shirt
  21. ATTITUDE AND SPITTING VIOLENCE! Just what Villa have been missing! Finally some god damn passion!
