  1. To be fair - it was rushed out and on launch there will always be issues/bugs etc but it will improve without doubt (as did the 360). If the maker and developer can unlock the potential of box this and the PS 4 we will all be happy.
  2. Make that 2 of us! (re: the Surface)
  3. You bought them one each? The eldest had his as a belated birthday/GCSE results present and the younger one wanted one for Xmas. We did sell his PS3 to help fund this!!
  4. Bought my 16 year old one (has a 360) and he loves it (for his birthday last June) - pretty impressed myself and I think the scope is there for some great developments over the next few years. Also bought the 12 year old one but he has to wait until Xmas to get his hands on it and is not impressed. Gameswise he is focussing on Fifa and BF4. At Xmas will have Ryse, CoD and Forza with the latter looking pretty impressive.
  5. Well 2 x Xbones pre-ordered in my house. Never any doubt and the youngest has a PS3 which was bought to 'replace' his 360. He abandoned it in weeks and went back to the 360. I have raised the MS issues with them but they never waivered and now the u-turns have happened they feel justified! For whatever reason Sony has never attracted them?
  6. Florent Malouda on loan according to the Times...
  7. Hi folks, unfortunately the car park will not be open tonight as the playgrounds are covered in snow and the local roads have not been gritted and are like ice rinks. Thanks
  8. I believe that A-Levels are recognized by Aussie Universities but GCSE's (taken by the age of 16) count for nothing. We don't want him to think that his hard work has been wasted...
  9. I wish it was that warm here! Thanks again folks. Perth is still the one that interests me. I ses that the population of WA is forecast to nearly double over the next few years. It is however great to see that the state has infrastructure projects in place to support all of this. The key is education as my eldest completes his GCSE's this Summer and I gather they count for nothing in Oz. A shame as he is forecast to get A's and A*'s.
  10. Bump!! - hi folks, having discussions about potentially making the move in the late Summer/Autumn once the eldest has his GCSE's under his belt. Perth or Melbourne are being considered. Is the economy still looking good? Cheers, Walmley
  11. Hi guys, I'm working in the City during the week so would also be up for any midweek meet. I usually stay at the Marriott Regents Park so anywhere round there/Islington etc would suit.
  12. Agreed - we have a lot of smallish, tidy players in midfield and up front but no bulk. Maybe that is the thinking?
  13. Well decision made and it's a no for now. Our kids are in great schools over here and we want the eldest to finish his GCSE's next year. The opportunity is 12 months too soon but maybe next year. This also gives us time for a reccie before then. Thanks again everyone.
  14. Right, In the balance....it's all down to Ossie Schools. Eldest has turned 15 today and is at KE Aston Grammar School. Youngest is 11 and at Private School in Lichfield. Sell me Ossie Education?
  15. Thanks for the feedback again. We are still 50/50 but will need to decide soon. One day it's yes and the next no.
  16. Well if I come over I will expect to be joining you at the Glory and would love to participate in some Villa discussion and beverage...
  17. I noticed on a thread on SHA (I go on for a laugh) and a nose living in Perth complains that there are plenty of Villa fans there! I work in IT and would assume most of the clients would be the mining firms.
  18. Already signed up to Poms in Perth! Must admit I gather the old rental market is a bit mad with a lot of competition. I think I would come over first with the family following. The guy offering the job went over earlier this year and I knew him over here. Would miss going to VP more than anything as had a ST for over 20 years. The eldest is a very good footballer but quite shy. I would hope Oz would bring him out of his shell. The youngest is very outgoing. Thanks for your advice and I may well be firing a few questions your way!
