We dont have technical skill players , with composure that pick a pass..
-
Cant understand the subs..
-
O Hare to create some chances ..
-
He’s good as DM , protect back 4.. yes Hourihane should be off & O hare to come in perhaps .. we are too predictable only going to the wings..
-
It’s so easy to defend against us , just push us to the wings & clear the crosses. We need penetration thru the middle.
-
We need a play maker in the middle , as Whelan contributing nothing going forward. We are not going to score with headers / set pieces against an Ex Pullis team.
-
Yes , hopefully will see him in second half
-
All the goals came after Kodjia was off... hopefully he will be dropped in the next game ..
-
Fair point .. but such type of players not suitable If we wish to play progressive , pass & move style ..such system need diminutive/ quick feet with small turning radius & most importantly are not selfish ..
-
There’s reason why top teams are discarding players type like Kodjia/Bolasie/Adomah/Benteke.. to a certain extend even Luakuku is heavily criticized. such players values are dropping like flies, they are not team player/selfish & are easily neutralize in the modern game . They are belong in the bygone era , like the Wilfred Bony of the world ..
-
We won’t win coz , we don’t have players to open team up .. We have no team work .. Kodjia/ Abraham / Grealish are not playing as team .. they don’t move or look up & pass to a team mate in better position ..
-
We are still an old school , crossing , depending on set piece to score team.. Smith need to buy some creative players with better footballing skill , or getting our Under 23 players like O Hare in.. its so depressing to watch Elmo run out idea & keep floating his aimless crosses into box ..
-
Totally agree .. we have all the old school , static players without any fluid movement.. QPR just need to crowd us out .. Kodjia / Abraham all have turning radius like oil tanker..
-
I am sure he will come good..some of his goals remind me of Aguero like, good & calm composure in front of goal..
-
I totally agree. I am after all a “Aston Villa FOOTBALL Club” fan & I need to be able to enjoy the football too .. smaller clubs like Wolves /Fulham/Southampton etc have evolved their playing style & see where they are now ... sigh
-
Taylor was in a better position to put a cross in
-
A better would have told Kodjia to stop the Lone Ranger act .. trying to beat 5 players .. what rubbish
-
Sheffield played like they do trainning / formation/how to open up angles to receive passes / when to make runs etc during weekdays .. we looked liked 11 individuals that only does physical trainning & basically nothing else ... Bruce’s stealing a living ...
-
Yes I agree Bruceball doesn’t help all..Saido Mane used to play like Kodjia too, but is totally transformed now under Klopp.
-
Sadly , if I remember correctly Bolasie is similiar in character to Kodjia & play the same way too ...

All he wanted is to score goals himself to enhance his market value. He will never be a team player because of his selfish character , i personally feel it doesnt matter to him if Villa lose 3-4 , as long as he’s get to score the 3 goals. There were few occasion he could pass to a teammates in better position asking for the pass , but instead chose to shoot from difficult angles himself. These will cause disharmony in the squad , it will be everyman for himself . In this modern day of football , where assist is more important than scoring goals , selfish players like Kodjia will not take us far ..
-
Attacking football is not just strikers trying to run at defenders on their own , blindly shooting into walls of defenders, trying to wiggle thru 3-4 defenders instead of looking for teammates etc. Proper attacking football is attacking as a unit, always looking for your teammates in better position , unselfish teammates making runs to draw defenders away to creat space & opening etc. None of our players are doing these , so I really wonder what they do in trainning ??

I am a Asian Villa fan since 17 & am now 49.. I just subscribed to official Villa TV for £180 in order to watch Villa games on a small tablet or Phone .. no other choices as streaming is blocked here even with VPN. I don’t know anyone else who did the same , but i do know many friends subscribed to watch other teams Premier League teams like City , Chelsea etc & at much higher cost for eg To watch Wolves is about £580, £400 more than Villa & I do know of many friend who signed up ... the main reason they said is they like to watch their brand of football. Its official TV/ official Streaming is the main revenue earner not season tickets anymore : https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/44850888 If we do not have an attractive/ progressive brand of football that’s not only catered to the taste of newer viewers, especially international ones , we will be left far behind in terms of revenue & with FFP in place , I do see us being here for a long while. Bruce is a nice man I am sure , but sadly in this modern world of football, his style of football is never going to attract new fans or keep old ones ...

Our New owners are the best we can hope for , they are the real deal . I am just worried they may soon find Villa’s too traditional mind set may not gel with what they wish to achieved. They obviously hope to improve their profile by having a successful/ attractive club, like Citeh/Chelsea owners etc not just any club that accepts mediocrity. Financially these guy could really invest & turn Villa into Citeh/ Chelsea. But if they perceive there’s strong resistance in accepting a new direction/ forward thinking / changes ( if newspaper poll report is true ), being who they are , with a combine of 8.3B, they might just write off 40-60m & just get another club that more likely to embrace & suits their objectives. One of the guy own large share in adidas , a cutting edge/high tech / glamour brand , somehow it just doesn’t gel with Bruce’ Villa. Oh last point I just step out of the cinema having just watched Mission Impossible 6, highly recommended , & I just realized Tom Cruise is just a year younger than Bruce ??? And those stunts he did without double ..
