  1. For the reported £20m I would much rather take Buendia. Already had a full season in the Premier League, will take some of the creative burden off Jack and is also an Argie so Martinez can help him settle in.
  2. According to how its been reported in the papers, Martinez isn't here to compete for the number 1 spot, he had that at Arsenal. He is he because we have guaranteed him starting, in effect telling Heaton he is now number 2. I can see why he might be miffed.
  3. Nixon saying the Traore thing has legs
  4. I wasn't blown away by Heaton. I also recall he was rather low on numerous metrics used to rank keepers, save % etc. Not overly convinced by Martinez but Arsenal improved with him between the sticks and je seems highly rated by Arsenal fans.
  5. Absolutely, Liverpool have functional no frills midfield to accommodate the front three and attacking fullbacks. Luiz is fine but if Grealish plays in the centre we will need an anchor to shield the centre backs.
  6. I think Dean wants us to be a budget/lite Liverpool. 3 forwards instead of wingers, who carry the ball with the width coming from the fullbacks. Targett's attacking stats suggest he is capable of it, despite not being blessed with pace, but neither is Robertson. Mings is able to play the long ball a la VVD. Let's hope Cash can be our Trent.
  7. Decent article here comparing Rashica to Timo Werner and promoting him as a suitable replacement (before Werner moved to Chelsea). He is definitely more in a forward as oppose to a traditional winger. https://totalfootballanalysis.com/article/milot-rashica-at-rb-leipzig-201920-scout-report-tactical-analysis-tactics
  8. Looks mirrored, assume that is a '9' on his jacket
  9. My concern if the price is that low other clubs will interested. If that happens I suspect we can and will go higher to get it over the line, like its been reported with Watkins.
  10. The noise is getting louder and louder!
  11. Worth mentioning for those who don't know, Napoli finished 7th last year so miss out on Champions League, so he won't get that with them either. It appears they made the Europa League though, if that tickles his pickle.
  12. I don't think McGinn's spot is as nailed down as it once was. His drop off in form since injury has been startling. I'm hoping a pre season will sort him out but as he didn't start for Scotland the other night it gives me an impression he isn't quite there yet.
  13. Norwich have brought in 9 players that could easily be classed as first team players (all above the age of 22 and Oliver Skipp from Spurs). Their only notable sale is Jamal Lewis to Newcastle. 100% there will be more lads leaving, Cantwell, Buendia, Aarons will all attract interest. I'm hoping that we end up with Buendia although I wouldn't say no to Cantwell either.
  14. The age difference will be a big factor: Martinez (28) and Romero (33). Martinez could last more than twice as long despite being twice the price.
  15. He's far more defensive than Luiz, and therefore could start alongside/instead of against the better teams. I'm hoping he is more settled this season and can hit the ground running.
  16. It's greedy but I want both! They are different players Rashica fast and direct, Buendia more of a playmaker and has played deeper for Norwich. I worry about our loss of creativity if something happens to Jack, therefore I've wanted Buendia since the minute Norwich's relgation was confirmed. I am very surprised he hasn't moved already, particularly as Nowich have made loads of signings.
  17. Forget Santamaira get Ibrahim Sangaré (I've been brainwashed by Tifo who recommend him for practically every team in Europe!)
  18. I can't see us spending £28m on Watkins to play him on the wing. As much as I like Edouard, I would prefer specialists in each position.
  19. Napoli also in the mix according to the article https://www.deichstube.de/news/werder-bremen-milot-rashica-transfer-aston-villa-wechsel-rb-leipzig-geruecht-ausland-bundesliga-zr-13810822.amp.html?__twitter_impression=true
  20. The reason we (and others) have been linked with Origi is because of the expectation he will be a rotation option for Liverpool this season. Therefore, I can't see them letting him go permanently.
  21. Callum Wilson talking bollocks on Sky. Confirmed in the comments.
  22. Sangare always comes up in the Tifo podcast, had to be worth a go at that price!
