  1. is the ball made of **** lead? why cant our players cross the clearing in the woods in?
  2. lets see if albrighton has now been told he can cross the ball in
  3. good we need carew on now with gabby young out left albrighton out right irland and petrov in middle or take downing and albrighton off for NRC and carew and win the midfield
  4. dear jim could you fix it for me to not play 3 wingers and 2 attacking midfield players in the same team at the same time and have none of them cross the **** ball in. thanks, Brum oh and PS take downing off he is crap today
  5. just trying to remember how long MoN hadnt managed in the premier league or had anything to do with football before we had him as our manager? cant understand the media crap about GH not managing in premier league for 6 years? short memories? im happy enough at the moment, i have high expectations for aston villa, unrealistic? possibly but i have expectations. if he does well then great, if he does bad then not so great, will worry about it when one or the other happen. isnt my first choice but i can not see randy offering me the job, so they will have to take whats left.
  6. i want winners at the club, **** being all precious, neither are my choice but if this is who we get then at least make sure it is on a rolling agreement, if they do well until the end of the season then we have the option to keep them on and if they do not so well then shake hands and move on. im willing to give them the benefit of the doubt because albeit a long time ago, they were winners or at least successful.
  7. Heskey who was on a free 4 months later? Not the worst signing, a rubbish one on it's own merits though. Worst is saludfude utter waste of everything. At least we got games out of the rest.
  8. still all guess work but i would be very disapointed to see Kmac pressured into taking this job. it is very short sighted to move someone from what they excel at into something else, on the off cance they can coninue to be successful without any experience. he needs to be left at what he is great at, it is no disrespect to the man but being forced up the ladder would mean we would need to be looking for people to replace his old job. and then in 3 months time when he has either decided it was too much for him or we sit 4 points above the relegation zone then he leaves the club. going from manager back to reserve team manager wont work, the players respect for him will have gone in the unsuccesful period where he was team manager. then the last 8 years of great work is all forgotten about and he is out of a job with the reserves and youth all messed aorund. all hypothetical of course, he may not get the job, if he does he may be succesful and he may not find it too much pressure. not worth the risk really though is it? either take sven on a deal lasting till the end of the season and then review so no big payouts. no risk and the stability of the infastructure of the club remains. or someone on a par with sven. maybe if england are not doing well cappello will be free by next summer? what ever we do, we should not be trying to 'force' a square peg into a round hole
  9. im not suprised but i am disapointed at the lack of any new signings. the one thing fans want nearly as much as good results is the signing of new exciting players. with the uncertainty surrounding a manager coming in, it would have bought the board a lot more time if they had gone out and signed a top forward. what difference would it have made? well a player who can pop in a gaol when the game is going no where changes the complexion of a game. it would have provided more income for the club, more positive media interest, more interest in general from the fans and also a level of excitement which to be honest has not reached any higher than when MoN came to the club, the signings we have made havent excited me, i have been pleased but havent thought they were going to make too much of a difference. too late now though, we need to get the best man for the managers job we can. any joe average and the board will not get the trust and belief they have earned from the fans with the last 4 years worth of good work. it can go out of the window in a very short space of time. Kmac needs to stay at what he is good at, that keeps some continuity at the club, make him manager and i bet by christmas he is sacked and the 14 years of stirling work he has done at the club will count for nothing and the reserves and youth team will be without the star coach.
  10. i just had a horrible thought it may be someone like neil warnock.. if it were to be a manager with premier league experience it may be time to trawl through every manager who has managed in the top flight and then start wiping them off. the horrid thing is there would be people like paul ince, steve bruce, allardyce, souness, kenny dalglish, sammy lee, garry megson, Guus Hiddink Felipe Scolari Claudio Ranieri Ray Wilkins Graham Rix Gianluca Vialli Ruud Gullit Glenn Hoddle walter smith cris coleman lawrie sanchez jean tigana houllier roy evans sven kevin keagan pearce joe kannir tony pullis mick mccarthy roy keane niall quin howard wilkinson george graham david pleat martin jol juande ramos christian gross glen roeder alan pardew curbishley zola paul jewell bruce rioch there are soe grim ones in there to be honest
  11. please not venables, taylor mk 3, mouthgate, robson, mowbray, jones, brown hughes just signed for fulham, their chairman wont let him go jol wanted money at ajax, however i doubt he has been given any bearing in mind they got mido on a free transfer the other week if we got jol and promised he could bring in suarez ( scored another 3 goals today, making it 5 goals in 3 games so far this season) i think we would improve, moyes is loyal and i couldnt see him going anywhere for a while or at least not until te end of the season, he seemed slightly frustrated that like most clubs, he wont be able to do much this transfer window.
  12. hitzfeld, klinsmann, van basten all out of the running then going by that criteria, it leaves martin jol and sven as clear favourites
  13. are you kidding? SAF, jose, hiddink to name 3 without having to think for a second. i will accept your apology to paul.
  14. i said last season we needed to look at moving friedel on and getting oin a quality younger keeper, that is still the case as it is clear guzan for all his penalty saves last season, is not a reliable keeper. pretty much everyone on here has already said that the following players are shit beye, sidwell, heskey, curtis davies well sidwell had an excuse tonight, the other 3 didnt, if it helps they get between them i would guess £120,000 for their work this week. i bet MoN is pissing his turn coat pants at us. the only player who played who wasnt part of MoN 's team was albrighton ( he played well and was rightly extremly **** off at NRC for not passing him the ball when we were winning and he was completely free with acres of space to attack with support already in the middle of the park). all three of the goals were mistakes by expensive flops. beye is shakey enough on the right but putting him at left back was **** retarded, playing cuellar at right back? we may as well have played beye at right back and cuellar at left back, at least it would only be one player out of poition. it would mean curtis 'im shit' davies would not get on the pitch and cuellar could have played in the middle leicha could have played at right back for **** sake. NRC was half good and half shit tonight. HE should be the one holding not ireland, he was bought to be effective in the final third not haiving to do petrov and NRC's job. if we play young how we played him tonight then we cant play ireland as we are too weak in the middle. i think i may not bother even watching for free for the next couple games, it seems like a waste of my time, i described in another thread i was feeling 'meh', that feeling is continuing until something exciting happens with the apointment of a top manager and the signing of a true top quality player.
  15. the only positive thing is hopefully lerner will have his hand forced pay the **** money for a top manager NOW before we lose the next 4 games and concede 3 or 4 each game. reserve manager and manager are NOT the same job. reserve manager KMac is great, no arguements manager? he is not cut out for us yet. it should also show that certain over paid players signed by the last manager should be removed from the first team squad, i would rather they not be named in the 25 and youth players took their place at least that way they would be forced to look elsewhere because at the moment they wont **** move.
  16. and so we start the free fall i would have posted on the matchday thread how ever ironically i get this message PNphpBB : Critical Error Could not connect to the database critical error indeed curtis 'im shit' davies habib 'im shit beye brad 'im shit ' guzan petrov 'i can kick for shit' petrov and emile ' im shot full stop and only scored because the ball smacked into me and i couldnt control it' heskey we deserve all we get with this shower of shit
  17. on talksport this morning ( i listen to it while i do my cardio, it is better than listening to traffic reports) it was in the rumours bit that klaas huntelaar is wanted by both spurzz and also villa but if we dont get a manager in place he would not sign for us. just the normal rubbish speculation although i cant imagine defoe, crouch, keane and pavlchenko being happy which would either mean keane or pav are going if we could sign someone of the stature of huntelaar then i doubt there would be a problem with empty seats which i bet causes some concern to the board. getting klaas and given and selling brad friedel to fulham so that swartzer can go to arsenal and off loading heskey o the cheap SHOULD keep the payments levels reasonably simular to what they are now with the added bonus that we have a keeper for the next 3 years and a star player who would guarantee sales of shirts, season tickets and fll the ground out each game. i can only dream.
  18. BUt ISM was brought in by DOL and from what I heard MON didnt really follow up his suggestions so strange he left with him this is my understand also, ISM made several suggestions from the UK and from abroad but most of his suggestions were blanked, i'm sure ISM said as much or one of the ITK boys said as much 5 or 6 months ago, that ISM was getting highly pissed off with having a pretend job as he was not being listened to.
  19. we need a serious clear out but we have no effin manager. we have a lot of very poor players who would struggle in lower leagues. we need to be very strict on the quality of players we bring in. we need to hire some private i to follow the chelsea man u and arsenal scouts around and just get a feel of the places we should be looking. all the top young players want to play in the cl but they all cant so theres a few we can get I believe there are scouts out there to sign players, for example we got Salifou, imagine if he ended world class and scored 20 goals a season? Scouting unknown foreign players is a huge gamble and one that rarely pays off. But I agree that we do need a better scouting system in place. And not just in the PL. it wasnt the scouts, it was the manager not trusting them to do their job. saladfood was purchased by MoN on MoNs recommendation to himself that in previous years he may have possibly watched a match where saladfood played half decent. MoN signed him from a league which is on a par with the 2nd division ( old 4th) despite him having failed at all other clubs of a shit standard in various sub standard leagues. it was almost like he was trying to keep him here for 5 years so salafoo could try and claim british status instead of having to go back to his non EU country, i honestly can see no other reason for repeatedly extending his 1 year contract. as i see it his contract expires in august/ spet anyway as it was a 1 year contract which was extended each year. many other companies have changed contracts to make them performance related, this is perfectly legal. maybe for players not in the first 25 it should apply? this way they have an incentive to look else where for clubs. maybe the quota of non eu players should be set at 5 per club maximum also? that is still a large percentage of the 25 but would mean that EU players have a chance to keep in a job and the money they spend will stay within the EU which would also help the crap economy rather than money just leaving the continent. on us signing any players now well i think if we dont get a new manager in place before the end of the transfer window we will be stuck with the shit players we have and will rely on the youth players coming through for the subs bench. no new players would come in. each season i start at 10 for optimism, even with MoN playing his silly buggers and 'ooh look at me, im brian clough i am', but with him deliberately trying to sabotage the club in the way he did, for once my optimism meter starts at a piss poor 5. i was going to get the new top as i always do for my son and me but for some reason at the moment the only word i can use to sum up how i feel about the club is ' meh'. shocking for someone who has supported the club since he was 4 and his first game being aston villa 5 liverpool 1 in 1976
  20. spend the 18 million on darren bent, most of our 1st teamers are good enough but today they playing like faggots, real **** babies.
