  1. His only quality as a footballer as I see it, is his ability to win the ball in a tackle. However, that becomes null and void when you more often than not immediately give the ball away again.
  2. No ticket I think, he was sitting on the stairs until then.
  3. Well, no point reflecting on the game, enough has been said on that already. Two things stood out (beyond the woefull performance) for me. Firstly, seeing half the Villa fans leg it from the away end after 65 mins. I don't know quite what to make of that, good or bad. Secondly, the abuse after the game. Because of point one above there were very few Villa fans about after the match, rightly so. I've never had so many verbals after a game before, was quite intimidating at one point but that's life I guess. They really are bitter about the relegation thing aren't they? Finally, thanks to the ginger lad who stripped to his boxers in an attempt to avoid ejection from the ground. You brought a brief bit fun to an otherwise totally shit day.
  4. Clearing in the **** woods. I thought better of him than this. I actually feel a bit sick. CNUT.
  5. NRC is not good enough. Petrov looks a bit "trimmer" from the couple photo's I saw of the new kit launch so hopefully that's a sign of improved stamina, which is the only thing I think he can be criticised for.
  6. Leaving now, quite excited. Can't wait to hear the noise on Sunday!
  7. Nice, my link just jumped to Man U v City for half time.
  8. Not quite as "rubbish" as suggesting we should replace Carew with Zamora.
  9. You know what I think on this subject so no need to get into one. However, again I think the stats are fitting your argument. You could go back over the same games using Friedel or Ashley Young for example and pretty much get the same results so they in no way prove a point IMO. Anyway, I think or midfield 4 has looked pretty decent in the past two outings and the Downing, Petrov, Milner & Young combo is the way forward IMO, for now. I seem to remeber Petrov having a bit of a blinder against Man U last year (think it was the OT game). I think that NRC could quite easily have a real stinker against them and I wouldn't risk it.
  10. Leaving later to come down for this one. It's pissing down up here. Don't want a wet hoof'fest tomorrow!
  11. We kinda did switch to 4-5-1. Gabby went out right and Milner moved in for the last 10/15 or so. Also, switching to 4-5-1 doesn't neccessarily close out the game. IMO, it allows the opposing team to sit higher up the pitch which doesn't always "relieve the pressure". I think MON got it right, as the result, not speculation, proves.
  12. It doesn't matter how much you blindly champion NRC's cause, he's never gonna start ahead of Petrov, our captain, in any formation. Perhaps with the exception of the odd Carling Cup game etc.
  13. where were you when we had Gary Charles ??? He was rubbish. Although I do remember him scoring quite a nice goal against Leeds @ VP I think it was. That had kinda blurred my memory of how shit he was.
  14. What a terrible story. I have to say, if that were my brother/half brother, my mind would not be at rest until I had some clarity on what happened.
  15. Interesting team selection. Need an early goal tonight.
  16. As above, think this game is massive and an early goal is essential. Will be good test of the teams (and the fans) mentality to see how we deal with this game. 3-1 Villa for me.
  17. Not good but not the end of the world. need a point at least on Monday...
