The player I am worried about is Carew. Was awesome last season but in last few games hasn't been there. Hopefully he is saving it for the first game of the season.

Another improving performance leading into next week. Was very happy for Lichaj, he started a bit poorly but finished up having a really solid game. Along with Clark who looked very assured. Delph of course was a massive plus on his debut. MON has got some tough decisions to make for next weeks starting 11. Everyone did their bit today to give us another victory.

It amazes me that certain players make a couple of mistakes and they are shite. We forget about his 3 shots on target. While other players can put bad crosses in most of day and they are England's finest.

Sadly for you he will probably be our captain going into the season. Maybe look at the coaches who are not doing their job and correcting his negatives. Or maybe they have been working on his positives off breaking up play which he seems to have done very welll in last two games. And maybe he is going to be the inspirational captain to take the team forward.

So Heskey (Red Card) and Lichaj and Albrighton (2nd yellow) are suspended for game? Not sure if the yellows carry over to final.

Watched it from about the 20 minute mark and not much to get excitied about. Pros: A few of the youngster showed some promise/ Davies aand Cuellar played 90 minutes together. What I worry about is it is pre-season (so fitness is expected to be down) but you shouldn't forget how to play football. The Malaga players showed how to support each other when in tight areas. Our midfield are not bad players so I have to wonder what they are being taught on the training field. Players are improving as individuals but the teamwork and ball support seems to be getting worse. This showed towards the end of last season. Too much space between defense and mid then mid and attack. The team really needs to work on some better tactics. As I say players shouldn't forget tactics in two months off. MON may need to look at some better coaches while he man manages.

cant understand comments like these! best player on the pitch 2nd half, gets so much unwarranted stick from a lot of fans, he's got a future here I'm certain of it I have always liked him. His balling control was good today; you could see he wanted to play. I think a season out on loan will do him good. He needs more competitive games to build confidence.
