  1. YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT A FIGHTBACK!
  2. Not bad considering the poor start. Game is there to be won.
  3. If Tekkers wasn't having an off day, we'd be 2-1 up now...
  4. We've started to knock it about the past few minutes, settling down a little. Not over yet....
  5. Effing hopeless. We're gonna get slaughtered here. Where's the fight from last week???????
  6. I suffer from bi-polar disorder but I try my best to live a full "normal" life. I get stigmatised every day but try to ignore it. I'm not going to kill you or get my willy out in the middle of Asda, I just feel crap in the mornings then high as a kite later in the same day. I get irked by small things, I worry too much about what others think of me, that sort of thing. I take Citalopram 40mg daily and that seems to keep me on an even keel most days but when I forget to take it I can be a moody sod.
  7. Either VP or home for me. Yorkshire Lions can do one. A member just left a sarcastic comment which was basically accusing me of being a glory hunter because I haven't been to the pub to see other games. Well, sometimes people get ill and can't get out and about you know....... Apparently supporting the Villa for 40 years man and boy isn't enough - I should have been in the pub for the last two cup games.........
  8. And that's why I can't afford a Cup Final ticket!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. Off to Florida in October with the missus and my two daughters and my brother is tagging along too as he's currently single and didn't have any holiday plans of his own. Staying just outside Kissimmee centre only about five miles from Disney. Already paid for flights, villa and park tickets - just need to get saving about a grand to 1500 each for spends now (hoping to get some good bargains on trainers and clothes over there).
  10. Kingston is safe enough if you know someone who can show you around. Being a reggae DJ, I've got a lot of contacts over there and when I go with the missus shortly after yourself, in winter 2017, I'll be going to some recording studios there to get what they call "specials" or "dubplates", which is where a singer or rapper cuts a track with your own name in it bigging you up. The Rae Town district of Kingston has an oldies music night every Sunday night from about 9pm until the sun comes up again and many UK, US and European visitors attend that. It's just some bloke who sets his DJ stuff up outside a bar and people dance in the street. If you spend the entire holiday in the Sandals resort, you won't see the real Jamaica.
  11. If the tickets for VP aren't too expensive, that's an option for me.
  12. I read autobiographies/biographies, mostly of musicians and sportsmen and women. Most recent one was a new one on Sir Tom Jones, highly recommended if you like him as it goes into a lot of depth about his life as a child and young bloke before he got famous: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Tom-Jones-Life-Sean-Smith/dp/000810445X Oh and I've got these too, the top one's gonna need updating soon
  13. The latest Mungo's Hi-FI album, Serious Time, is one of the best reggae albums of the past twenty years. Also check out the reggae and soul podcasts from some bloke called DJ Greedy G, he's not bad http://www.djgreedyg.podomatic.com
  14. What's your plans? Watching it in the pub or at home with mates? I'm in South Yorkshire and asked on the Yorkshire Villans FB group if anyone local was watching it in the pub. Got no replies though, guess they're all minted and off to Wembley. Not all of us are lucky enough to be able to afford to do it. I've been supporting the Villa for FORTY years this year since I was six years old and just wanted to watch the final alongside my fellow Villans. But I'll be watching alone at home I guess with the missus telling me to turn the telly down etc...............
  15. For older fans such as myself, wouldn't it be nice if Peter McParland was made a guest of honour for the final. No idea how his health is at the age of 80 (soon to be 81), but would be a lovely touch if the man who won us the cup last time around in 1957 was able to make it.
  16. It wasn't all bad for Raheem Sterling today. he got to meet Lionel Messi. In Ron Vlaar's pocket.
  17. The missus and the kids are off to Orlando in the Autumn. Me? I'm cashing my ticket in and getting a cup final ticket instead
  18. Grealish MOTM for me. Outstanding, his best performance so far.

  20. Kieran Richardson's a legend, give him a new contract lol
