With Petrov successfully avoiding being booked yesterday, he now doesn't need to worry about getting to 10 yellows because the cut off day is today. Only he can get to 15 yellows in the remainder of the season, but he would have to be booked in all 6 games and even then, the ban wouldn't come into effect til next season, if at all. Simply put, we can't have any players suspended for the rest of this season unless we get any red cards.

Fear not my friends for we shall win tomorrow - the guy who runs my local chippy says so! I got chatting to him about tomorrow's game whilst there last night. He spotted my season ticket in my wallet and asked if I was going down to Wembley (I am). He then went on to tell me that he thinks games in this country are fixed. "Everyone knows it happens in other countries, and I think it happens here" he said. He is adamant that the 7 - 1 was fixed so that Chelsea would catch up Man Utd's goal difference and as a result tomorrow will be fixed so that we will win. He's so adamant that he has £150 riding on a Villa win. I always thought he was a bit of a crazy bastard....

We're not going to be able to watch us clinch the title! It will be because we want to preserve the pitch for the Everton game on Wednesday and they've probably run out of alternative dates, but it's disappointing nonetheless.

In the preview of tonight's game on the OS it says "Tickets for tonight's first leg will be available on the turnstiles, which will open at 5.45pm."

I was quite surprised at the reaction from our away following at Bolton whilst we were watching the end of their game in the concourse at the Reebok. The cheer that went up when Drogba scored was nearly as loud as when Ash scored later on in our game! I know a lot hate Man Utd.....but it's Chelski!!

I think that was hope rather than expectation!

Petrov is the only player that can now get to 10 yellows before the cut off date (second Sunday in April). As long as he avoids getting booked twice in the next 3 games he won't have to serve a 2 match ban.

Forgetting for a moment that the game is being played at Wembley, are you not looking forward to the fact it's an FA Cup Semi Final? Or is the venue that much of an issue?

I have to say I'm surprised by some of the responses here, it's an FA Cup Semi Final for crying out loud!!! I'm sure we all agree SF's should not be played at Wembley and it does take the shine off the final, but we are 1 game away from that final in a cup that Villa have not won during the majority of our lifetimes. Hell yeah I'm excited!

All these bans are increased by 1 further game if it is a second red within one season, or by two extra games if it is a third red etc. Sent off for 2 yellows = a red card and you are banned accordingly. These yellows do NOT count for accumulation of yellows purposes.
