  1. I would imagine lerner does just want a sale. This idea that he loves us is just a hopeful dream for a man many have put a lot of faith in. The last few years show he really doesn't care much at all.
  2. ....and they sat stats don't lie ? Jesus Wept !! It's Marc Albrighton we're talking about here, not Arjen Robben. He started brightly, fell away, got injured, went on loan and then came back and stood out for 50% of the time he played in the worst Villa side since 1987. If he feels Leicester are a better bet for his career than us then good luck to him. I wish him no ill will but it's not like it's gonna cripple us, is it ? Couldn't agree more
  3. totally disagree. The decent thing is to stay. Walking out on a club when it needs as much steadiness as possible would be the cowards way out. Whatever people Think of his performance, staying is an honourable course of action. Totally disagree. He's proved over two years that he's monumentally out of his depth, His staying will only make things worse. Oh okay, let's put cowans and given in charge then, with all their managerial excellence I don't think there's much chance of them doing worse than the last few months under Lambert.
  4. There will be funds but it will just be to try and keep us in the league. Can't see good players jumping at the chance to sign for a manager who might not be there long and a club that will have new owners soon.
  5. Honourable to not want to lose out on a pay off?
  6. That Lambert is staying. Who else is going to let this guy play in the premier league?
  7. Has to be over the moon with the latest news.
  8. Your questions show why Lambert staying isn't the best option. Our second half of the season form was abysmal. The fans will have no patience with him and I think it's got the potential of going very wrong.
  9. I really hope so mate! Fingers crossed eh? And me. We start the season with Lerner and lambert and its another wasted season aiming for survival and waiting for a buyer. Needs to happen this summer.
  10. Depressing news. Yeah, I'd much rather the club be fumbling about in the dark looking for a new manager if the worst comes to the worst and we're not sold... Nothing to do with that. It's depressing as it seems a sale isn't close yet.
  11. Are buffalo a well run side that have under performed?
  12. I'd be more worried about Lambert staying. He's failed to get the best of of his squad. Why will it be different next season?
  13. Exactly. I think some are letting their hatred of Lambert cloud their rationality a little bit. As you said, being stuck with no manager or no money is the absolute worst scenario. That's not a possible scenario though is it? Lerner isn't going to risk damaging his investment even more and there will always be a manager. Out of the actual realistic scenarios Lerner and Lambert being here at the start of the season is the worst one.
  14. Well if they're both staying its yet another season of just surviving. The fans have already turned and can't see them being very patient with Lambert next season. We have a poor squad, a manager disliked by the majority and an owner who doesn't want to be our owner. Things are looking good. I really hope something is done before the start of the season.
  15. Would be nice but can't see it happening.
  16. Yes, it seems not supporting a billionaire cutting costs or not giving a poor performing manager years of patience means you're an instant success craving modern day fan. Terrible really.
  17. Overreaction much? I've made a few posts about that. My guess would be roughly 14,272? Modern football; where if you're not instantaneously "successful", you're shit. Anyway, about this takeover... Yeah that's my problem, modern football and wanting instant success. The last 4 years prove that don't they?
  18. I'll save the pointless debate as you've clearly not understood. Overreaction much? I've made a few posts about that.
  19. Nobody disputes that, pretty sure that we all want him gone. People can't complain 1 week after he has publicly announced that we're up for sale, that it hasn't happened yet, or that because he publicly announced that we're up for sale he is somehow an even worse owner. No one is soley having a go at him for not selling the club at this point. The point is he has put the club into a bit of mess and happily gambled with our premiership status for three consecutie years. To do all that and fail to sell the club is terrible. Nothing to do with not selling the club right now, he may well sell the club and we'll be better off but it looks like a deal isn't close. If he fails to sell the club we are in serious trouble once again due to the poor state of the squad and the poor manager who has lost the majority of the fans. I know with lerner some seem to just shrug off mistakes but IMO runningt the club the way he has and then failing to sell this summer would be another **** up in a long list of **** ups.
  20. He's gambled with our premiership status, ran the club on the cheap and set survival as our only ambition. To do that is bad enough but to do that, state you want out and fail to do so leaves this club in a bit of a mess.
  21. Did I say that? Its his fault the clubs got to this state, which is worse if we can't sell the club. Erm.. Erm.. That's what I just said to mantis. Indeed it is my friend. You said if there is no new owner lined up then it means he has ran the club even worse than you thought. So, he put the club up for sale - which is what you actually wanted him to do, you don't like him, you want him gone. But now, after he publicly announced that the club is up for sale (I assume to let the fans know), you're pissed off because nobody has bought us yet? None of us know if a buyer is in the pipeline yet and I too believe it is strange to announce the sale of the club if nothing is seemingly lined up, but it really has no bearing on how well his ownership has been. As others have said my friend, he's put the club in this position that probably doesn't make it an attractive option. To allow the club to get to this state and then not be able to sell it after telling the world he wants out then I'd find that to be bad. I'm still amazed people defend him so much even after our worst premiership year.
  22. That would never happen though. Lerner's not going to admit he wants out and then pretty much guarantee relegation by not spending a penny.
  23. er, yes? How? Did I say that? Its his fault the clubs got to this state, which is worse if we can't sell the club. You said it would be "shocking" to say he wants out and then not have something lined up. It would, due to the state he's let the club get in.
  24. Did I say that? Its his fault the clubs got to this state, which is worse if we can't sell the club. Erm.. Erm.. That's what I just said to mantis.
