  1. Petrov, Petrov, Stiliyan Petrov! He shoots and scores from 40 yards, Stiliyan Petrov!
  2. "Super-cali fragilistic Roman Pavlychenko, Came to us from Moscow and he's better than Shevchenko. The only guy we know who drinks his vodka from a kenko, Super-cali fragilistic Roman Pavlychenko!" Chant heard at White Hart Lane. (LBJ, UK). Not Villa related but I thought it was a bloody good chant. We need a nice long one like that.
  3. Them pictures just make me want one. Such great detail. I can see my bank account taking a heavy hit soon.
  4. I think my post in the other thread could have been the reason why this one was started and I cant be bothered to go find it and copy and past it but this was a reason I had stated as to why I dont like them as well, add to that they never get dropped and its the same players every time. There seems to be about 3-4 spots in the whole squad for players based on form and even then they wont play. Its a waste of time. I remember last World Cup my mate was crying when we lost. Id never cry over England Id probably react by going 'Ah well, lets see what else is on the TV'. Iv always said Id rather Villa get past the first round of the Carlin Cup than England win a World Cup. Thats how much I care for our national team. Also agree with others about being more interested in our cricket international team!

    Running

Did the Sutton Fun Run on Sunday. Longest distance I have ever ran and it killed me. Did it in 1 hour 24 minutes though so I was happy with that, stuck to my 10 minute mile. If it wasn't for the sheer pain of cramp in the last 2 miles I could have done better. Im still feeling it but looking forward to doing it next year.
  10. I never even considered standing up. Why on earth would you stand? These poll should only have one option.

Ah good then it isn't just me. Not sure what it was but it just felt a lot harder. Ill have to get back on the roads tomorrow.

    Running

I think I will need to run about 200 miles before I see the fat drop off me. I need to watch what I eat more. By the way does anyone here run on a track often? Did it yesterday it seems a lot harder than running on the roads. Might just be me though.
  13. Really tempted to get into this but I am having to say no to myself. Iv got enough hobbies as it is and the gear is very expensive.
  14. Reading's stadium was half empty? What is that about?

Took my running trainers back to the store today and replaced them with a bigger pair. No foot pain and no tight calves and managed to run 4-5 miles. Amazing what proper trainers do.
  16. It depends.. I wouldn't want to see him back at VP for another team. Lets put it that way. It might help us move on and get a better and more balanced team though.

    Running

I managed almost 2 miles in about 16 minutes but had to walk the last 1/4 mile. Same old story I stopped for a minutes rest and as soon as I do that I can feel the burn on the outsides of my feet. I heard the rule is to a bigger size shoe, well I am a size 9 normally or at least that is what I buy but the guy measured me up in the shop and said I needed size 8 running shoes, does this sound right? Could feel my achilles tightening up as well but I will ignore that and see if it happens next time. Must stretch properly in future. I just need to get out every other day otherwise it isn't worthwhile.

46 minutes is still good going, well for most of us! My aiming to run in times and distance isn't working. I dont like targets as it plays on my mind. Im going out for a run, dont know where. Ill work out how long I was and how far I have ran when I get back but I think just going where I feel like will work better.
  19. The Barca players really loved rolling all over the floor in that match.
  20. Upper Holte K4. I will never move my seat and Iv been there for 5 years now I think. Before that I was in the Lower Holte.

Wow that looks a really good site, loads of good runs on there for my area. When i run the most painful thing is my feet. I know everyone says get some specialist fitted shoes but I just went for Asics. My feet are a bit smaller than 11 so I thought 10.5 would fit great. When i get back after about 2.8 miles the first thing i think about is kicking my shoes off. Is it normal or should i get some new shoes? That seems to be my issue a lot of the time. I feel like I can keep going and my fitness can push on my feet just feel nackered more than anything else.
