    Well, I had an interesting walk to work this morning!!! I work and live in the city centre, walking down Corporation steer. Who walks towards me? Gregg from the Mail! I said hello, couldnt resist stopping him and asking what he thinks we’ll be doing today. He said he can’t see any incomings today and that we will wait untill the end of the month to bring in a striker. Said he thinks Grealish is 50/50 but also said that he wasn’t in the office yesterday. Also said about Fulham and Bryan but we all know that anyway. Nice guy.

    This is a huge loss tbh, no beating around the bush. In my opinion, he is (or was) the best fullback in the league. I guess at the end of the day he owed no loyalty to us, it's just an unfortunate situation. Only problem is we desperately need a left back. I imagine we will probably end up loaning now as I cant see us having a replacement tomorrow surely?

    Yes mate I know. But the goalkeeper isn’t Oblak! It’s a guy called Kepa Arrizabalaga from Athletico Bilbao! He may be great, but so is Jack. This guy is not worth nearly 3 times as much. I think the problem here is that we all know Jack is going to go now. We need the money now. It’s no good getting it at 4.59 on Thursday. Why would we sell him at that point?!

    For me £25m is not enough. He’s arguably the best player we’ve ever developed and we need him desperately. Why would we sell for that. I knows he’s Spanish (therefore fancy) but this goalkeeper Chelsea are singing for £71m. Quality wise and potential I doubt he is almost £50m better than Jack. (I know different positions yadayada)

    I’ve got a funny story about Andre Gray. I used to work with his mom at a coffee shop in Wolverhampton when I was 17. At that time he was playing for Telford and used to come in to drop off his gym bag to me every weekend. I’d then give it to his mom. At that point his mom didn’t think he was going to make it and wanted him to get a ‘proper’ job. I used to get on really well with her.... until she was caught on CCTV stealing £20 out of the till that I was working on and got the sack ?. Although with his £££ i’m sure she’s over it now!! It would be so weird watching and chearing for him ?.

    I know for a fact that Jack met with Spurs about a month ago. 99% sure he thought it was happening. No idea whether he wanted to stay. Say we don’t need to sell him now, as a minimum it’s going to mess his head up a bit surely?

    I think because we're all so heavily invested in Villa we don't like to see the club lose out (get mugged off) to another club over £. I guess it's similar to not wanting your Nan to get ripped off at Aldi, if she over pays she's still able to go back the next week and do her shopping but it's just a little bit shit. Especially when she could have gone to Waitrose and got something better for the same (or less). For example, if we had this much money to spend on a quick strike partner for McCormack i'd rather us have got Gayle, who incidentally was cheaper.

    I wish I was more excited by this signing, but i'm really just.... not? I don't know, I almost feel bad thinking that way after the shit we've been through in the last 5 years I just feel we've been massively ripped off. Maybe it's just because i've never seen him.
