    What?

No, not one game. Every game of his Villa career he's been on the scale of terrible to average.

    He’s shit, totally agree.

But he’s had 2 motm performances.. credit where credit is due..

every OTHER game, he’s been total crap and cost us about a gazillion points. And that’s not even an exaggeration.

Yep.  He does everything else really well and will absolutely get better.  Just a bad day at the office.

It’s really not though. This is a normal day at the office.  Just seems to miss sitter after sitter.

The rest of your post is absolutely bang on though, so I’m sure I’ll feel differently tomorrow.

For some reason I completely trust DS in the transfer market. Not sure why, just have a good feeling about it. And I can honestly say that's the first time I've felt that about a Villa manager. Pretty sure DS has a solid overview of potentially good buys from the lower divisions. Will be nice to buy some reasonably priced talent instead of the overpaid dross we've signed the last 10 years. Bruce deserves credit for McGinn though. More of that please.

In a weird way, I'm really hoping we sign a few £1-2m nobodies from the lower leagues - "WTF??" moments that turn out to be master strokes

Individual errors are always hard to avoid, but we are set up well now.

We just need confidence in what we do ,without being too cocky.

    cockiness can lead to complacency.

Ahhhh, but I LOVE this cockiness!

2 down in 6 minutes.. but did we change tact? NO! Carried right on!

There’s a swagger to our play like we’re the billy big bollocks of this league now.

    Unlucky there Mr Snodgrass!

Ok, nobody should have their ability judged solely under a SB system.

To be fair under any single manager’s system.

Look at Pogba.  Looked incrdible at Juve. Looked incredible for France at the World Cup, but completely different under Maurinho.

    Different styles suit different players.

This thrash could go on forever..

    From the youth team:

Hendrie- could’ve done so much Moreno than he did

    Moore brothers

    Delfouneso

    Gabby

    Herd

    Lyden

    Fenton

    G gardner

Could even say Albrighton and Bannan And many more...

As for signings we’ll just in the last couple of years there are loads..

Most notably the likes of McCormack, Hogan  and Tishbola

    He was doing Moreno? 😵

I 100% agree that if things at some point do go wrong we should not be so hasty to give Smith the sack and call for his head.

Dean I think is intelligent enough to find a way to make a bad situation work, we should stick with DS for many reasons and see him as the future of our club.

I think if Dean doesn't get promotion eith us this year then I fear some fans may want him gone. Us bunch of fans we have shown time and time again that we aren't willing to settle on a manager when things are going bad, it's about time that changed. I think because we've gone through alot of managers compared to most clubs, the impatient behaviour of us fans as all contributed towards our unsuccessful ways also.

I will not be shouting for Dean Smith's head if things go wrong for a while, not unless were going to be relegated but I am confident while were under Deano that we will never be in that position.

It's still early days under Dean, it's a long road, if we go up we go up but if we don't I won't hold it against Dean, or the players. I will see this season as let's freshen up, install everything, let Dean strengthen our team and go again next season all while starting off as strong as possible.

To be fair, even when things went south, I was really upset when BFR, Brian Little, and John Gregory left.

The others I was pretty much glad to see the back of.

When a manager has shown they're capable of good, exciting football, I'm always in the give them a chance to turn it around camp.

Edit: McLeish and Bruce I couldn't wait to see the back of.

  8. There are currently only 2 teams in this division that worry me with our current style, and baggies are one of them.  Could go either way this one, and it will come down to which team are moreclinical on the night, as there will be chances a-plenty.

suspect a high scoring game is on the cards again.

The other team is Leeds, which I think will be even harder because they’re very good at both ends of the field.

Needs to be replaced. I'm still too scared of him coming for crosses, and even stopping shots on goal. Heaton for example would be the solid base we need.

But I will say that he's absolutely excellent with his feet. Really comfortable and no issues with short or long passing off either foot.

Yh, his kicking / passing is quality to be fair

Gestede always gave 100% for the cause, maybe lacked a bit of quality for The Premier League.

Gil was technically superb but I think he didn’t have the work rate needed for the Premier League or Championship

    Agree.
