I think long term Kalinic will be outstanding for us, Smith has changed our playing style, we’re trying to play out from the back. Kalinic is good with his feet, Kalinic is new to the country, it’s naturally going to take him a few months to settle. I thought Chester and Elphick were good today, I think Smith is changing us for the better, it will take time, we need to be patient, we are progressing well in my opinion

I have to say that I think Nyland is significantly better with his feet.

I’m not sure this guy strengthens our defence in anyway other the being another “body” I can’t say I have seen him play well for us since his debut.

He’s been better than chester in last few games

  3. What the hell is everyone going on about? ‘Save yourself’

Clean through 1-1 with the keeper and he skies it like the fat kid that’s the last pick on the playground. At 0-0 we could have settled our nerves with a goal and maybe even gone on to win the match.

He’s got 16 goals, but I don’t recall one convincing finish.  Seem to hit him and fall into the goal rather than through any quality finishing.  The only time I recall him hitting the ball with any kind of power and control is the penalty which hit the post and went in with a huge slice of luck.

When he does get a decent chance he squanders it time and time again. If I had to choose between him and Hutton to be one on one with the keeper in the final minute of the FA cup final to win it... I’d choose Hutton - no joke.

Its all very well scoring 5 goals in a match when we’re producing 30 chances a game, but there’s going to be games where we will be limited to 1 or 2 clear cut chances, and we can’t be relying on someone with the shooting ability of a retarded goat to be putting them away.

Will never make it in the premier league unless he learns how to shoot.

He’s obviously not the problem in our team at the moment, but some on here on going on like he’s way too good for us, when his net contribution yesterday was to sky an absolute sitter, which quite frankly was a worse individual incident than Taylor getting megged for the first.

If ANYTHING wolves will be thankful they didn’t get him after they watch that shot.

    \rant.

I know he’s been playing injured recently but his form has really gone off a cliff. By far the worst I’ve seen him play today, almost everything he did was a mistake.

The only thing that made it less bad is that he wasn’t the only one almost everyone else was in the same boat.

Lucky he was playing next to Taylor, who took the limelight in the shower of shit that was our performance today.

Second worst player on the pitch today.

    let step back s second.

He would certainly be nervous for his first game.

He hasnt played a first team game for quite a while.

    He is likely very rusty.

He was given his debut while we were in total meltdown, which is basically the worst case scenario.

Im not saying he will be good for us, but ia lso think there are so many mitigating factors for this debut, we gotta give the guy some slack.

Im still hopeful he will come good, but also he needs some time to shake the rust off and get in the groove, preferably while the team isnt in the middle of a total incompetent meltdown.

It's more a criticism of DS than Hause.

Either he wasn't ready and got thrown on, or he's awful.

I'd hedge my bets it's the former.

  6. I heaped praise when he deserved it, and it's only fair that the reverse works true too.

Utterly bizarre substitutions today.  They were never likely to do anything for use other than make us worse.

We were getting nowhere, and what was needed was fresh ideas, not worse-for-like changes.

He took off the better of the two centre backs, and replaced him with someone who is clearly not match fit - and had a debut that made Lescott and Richards look like quality signings.

He left on a left back who repeatedly failed to control, pass, or cross the ball, and was being beaten every time he came up against his opponent.

He needed to make a change to the system, not just put on worse players for the same positions.

Utterly bizarre, and I will never understand it.

Lost a lot of respect from me today.

Elphick must be livid he was recalled from his loan and taken off. He has every right to be too.

Especially when he was twice as good as chester today.

and three times better than the clown that came on

It's already been said. I'd be surprised when you watch goal 3 you don't think he's out of position, moving towards 2 players who are already at the ball and in his way, exposing his entire goal. He's not covering his post effectively as he could do that standing away from the players.

I'm also surprised you say his positioning was good, this was apart from spilling every shot he got to, his worst trait on the day.

It was a terrible day at the office and one I hope he doesn't repeat

His YouTube ‘highlights’ video shows him spilling every shot he gets to... and I’m worried this might just be a normal day at the office.

    i really hope I’m wrong.

  9. He just... runs.

    the ball bounces off him.

he barely bothers to jump to challenge for a header.

    cant hold it up.

unless the ball lands squarely at his feet for a tap in, he might as well not be on the pitch.

    need to part-ex him ASAP
