    This. If come January we have top quality manager in, who has kept us within touching distance of top 4, and RL has given the new manager some money we could have a great season. Time will tell. Of course the balance is that fine that the wrong appointment and we could write the season off by January. It will be very difficult to buy the players we want or need in January.

    Yes he is fully aware I was talking to him from the Sky lounge balcony but he was very open when I was talking to him didn't shirk any questions from either me or two others with me but don't think it's right I post what he said because I don't want some journo hack using it . He is far from down about Villa he is totally committed to it and enjoying it as much as ever possibly even more so . MM any news on transfers? I assume there will be no activity?

    As much as an all round good guy he is, please please don't appoint KMac as our manager. He's a coach end of. We need a leader off the pitch much like MON was.

    I think if we can purchase a good DM or get NRC playing at his best we could have a pretty good season and KMac could get us playing some good football. I mean we have the same defensive players so we should be able to tighten up at the back. NRC or new DM would give us the security in midfield and give the others Ireland,Downing,Young,Gabby even Petrov the chance to make the goals.

    Friedel won us quite a few points last season and the season before. He was one of our best players last year.
