  1. Draw will have a big impact. I’ve never been more interested in the UCL and UEL!
  2. Actually thinking about it. If English teams do get each other then it’s a guaranteed 0.25+0.375 points for each tie. So wouldn’t be the end of the world.
  3. So pretty much the best we could have hoped for. I think every result is as the above. Only mistake from me was that we don’t get the extra 0.125 points for round progression in the UECL. As others have said it’s only from the quarter final onwards. Gap is basically nothing now. We have 2 more teams than Germany in the various competitions. Barring a really bad draw for English teams facing each other then you would expect England to push ahead quite easily.
  4. Been a great night for the coefficient. Leverkusen were always favourites.
  5. Short term it may give them a boost but long term it makes it much more likely we get Champions League
  6. Yup I can take Spurs as they deserve it as much as us. United would be a killer.
  7. It will be unbearable if we Man United and/or Spurs finish ahead of us.
  8. Let’s just get champions league and worry about the media afterwards. They are willing Utd to get 5th. We just need to prove them wrong and get 4th/5th
  9. They have built a pretty good cushion already. Milan and Roma will more than likely go through. Atlanta and Fiorentina are favourites also.
  10. I thought he was terrible that game tbh. We won in spite of him imo.
  11. I didn't realise Iroegbunam and Rogers were Villa fans?
  12. I’ve got my normal season ticket seat but did consider the Lower Grounds as a one off. Given how much cheaper the usual ticket is the Lower Grounds is still £110.
  13. Yup just saw that. Annoying but luckily Germany have no teams in the UECL so we are adding some bonus points.
  14. 2 for a win, 1 for a draw and 1 for round progression. Those points then divided by the number of teams from your country that were originally in the various tournaments. So for England it’s divided by 8 and for Germany it’s divided by 7.
  15. If Dortmund and Freiburg both go out then the maximum points they can get will be 2.717 Leverkusen - 0.429 + 0.429 + 0.429 + 0.286 = 1.573 Bayern - 0.429 + 0.429 + 0.286 = 1.144 That would put them on 18.217. Very gettable
  16. First result in our favour. I am sure there will be a few surprises this week. I can see one of us, Dortumund or West Ham losing and exiting. Very rarely all the favourites go through in knockout football.
  17. This year I don’t think we have lost 2 in a row in the league. That could change on Sunday of course.
  18. Just looked at Man Utd fixtures. They are pretty tough. Next 3 are Brentford, Chelsea away and Liverpool at home. They’ve only really got Burnley at home which is a banker. The rest are pretty difficult. If I was to guess and be really optimistic for them. Brentford (a) - W Chelsea (a) - D Liverpool (h) - D Bournemouth (a) - W Newcastle (h) - W Burnley (h) - W Palace (a) - W Arsenal (h) - D Brighton (a) - D That would be 19 points for them on the uber optimistic side I would say. That would put them on 66 points. We would only need 11/12 points therefore.
  19. Yup. Their easiest two games are their last two games. We need to have a cushion of 3 points at least at that stage.
  20. Still a long way to go. We’ve got two winnable games coming up and we don’t need this negativity. It’s going to be tough without McGinn no doubt. If we can somehow pick up 4 points from these next 3 games then that will put is in a decent position with McGinn and Ramsey both being back.
  21. Regardless it can’t happen because the only English teams left in the UCL are in the top 3 and won’t be budging from there
