  1. I've been going for number 8. I'm telling all the noses I know that I think they will win, but there is method in my madness. You see I'm raising their pityfull hopes and then when we smash them the pain will be even greater. Plus if it does go all wrong it reduces the amount they can gloat as I told them it would happen. You see! Genius.
  2. Surely its not a choice between him diving and doing f&ck all is it? Surely he has more to offer than that. As much as it benefitted us you beating Blackburn if you had beaten them by Gerrard diving I would rather that Blackburn has won. I HATE diving by anyone our players included. I would just like to see all teams and players get the same treatment by refs, the FA and the media. Liverpool and Gerrard seem to live a charmed existance a lot of the time.
  3. I've voted Coventry and anyone who ever went to an away game at Highfield Road will understand why. Can't say either Sheff Wed or Leicester bother me in anyway.
  4. Is it not possible for there to be contact without the result being a penalty or a booking for a dive? On one occasion he should have been booked though I agree.
  5. Its beyong belief the way they defend him I actually think he is the biggest diver in the PL
  6. To the 3 people who voted no watch MoTD2 tonight and then hang your heads in shame
  7. With regards to mortgages, the best thing at the moment is to go to a truelly independant mortgage advisor (ie, not one who sits within a building society/estate agent and claims to be independant) as they will find you the best deal and often deals that aren't available to joe bloggs public.
  8. Me again. Personally I wouldn't wait mate. If its 'the' property that you want then I personally would go in and go in hard and fast. You are the perfect potential buyer as you are like rocking horse shite in the current market, effectivelly a first time buyer as you have no property to sell. If the house has been on the market a while then that combined with the constant headlines about credit crunch and market slowing will result in one very nervous vendor. You could hold on and you could wait to see if the market drops dramatically but personally I don't think they will fall as much as many people are predicting. I know many posters on this thread will say otherwise but I suspect that the bark will be worse than the bite in this current stagnation of the market. By waiting a few months you may get a bit of a lower price but you may also lose out. Another factor is your mortgage, do you have this in place? If you do and you have a offer in principle you can afford to play a bit of a waiting game if not you may find even though prices have come down in a few months that a mortgage is harder to come by or is more expensive. It all comes down to personal circumstances I guess and with yours I can understand why you may opt to wait but it really is a buyers market out there for the first time in years and years.
  9. Ha, I love you general. Brilliant. P.S General, despite this threads (and many others) appearance the vast majority of us still delighted with the way the club is being run these days and the progess that is being made both on and off the pitch. So thanks and keep up the good work. TrentVilla
  10. Man Utd. They are the best team, they play the best football, they have the best player. Also despite my dislike for them they generally behave better than the other two, Man Utd are no angels but at times Chelsea and Arsenal disgust me.
  11. And yet despite this I'm waiting for weeks for my application to go through due to........ a backlog! Go figure.
  12. I agree Fuse. What pisses me off is the way people blow smoke up Lampard and Gerrard's respective backsides yet I have not once seen them single handedly boss an international the way Beck's did against Greece at Old Trafford.
  13. Ah! We have located one of the people who voted no... lynch him. :winkold:
  14. Yes I agree both have struggled to transfer club form to the international stage but I think both have done a better job than Gerrard. On your point with regards to clubs sides in comparison to the national side your right.
  15. At club level I know what you are getting at Trent but he is not the only one unfortunately. Bentley was right when he said to many players seemed to be concentrtating on the Champions league games for there clubs. Far from being the only one but until he produces the goods for England (he has only done it one IMO away in Germany in the 5-1) then he will just be another John Barnes. Just one game is a bit harsh but I agree with you to an extent mate. As I said though unfortunately he is not the only one. To many players for whatever reason don't do it for us at international level. Your right but I think the contrast between club and country form is worse with him than anyone else mate. One game may be harsh but I'm struggling to think of any other great performances by him.
  16. Bloody hell someone else has voted no!!!

  18. What pisses me off most about him is the double standards. He slates players who dive yet consistantly does it, he slates refs who fall for it but has won countless decisions doing it and then there is the infamous interview after the game at VP. Asked about the 'freekick' that led to their winner he said 'these things level themselves out over a season' so almost admitting he had dived then a couple of weeks later Chelsea get a very dodgy penalty at Anfield and he spends a week bleating about it.
  19. Case closed, the prosecution rests. GUILTY
  20. I was going to tactfully ask who had pressed the wrong button? I think my less tactful if ever so slightly direct approach covers it. :winkold:
  21. Who the hell said no? Are you f&^kin blind?
  22. True. But if we start just taking their pictures and putting them in a poll on the internet we may find ourselves in trouble. :winkold:
