    Best Bond

Its close but has to be Connery, he edges it due to the fact that Craig has only done one film. In a few years time though I think Craig will have edged it.
  7. Your right Young was £9.6m but with add ons, some of which will have already kicked in with his England appearance. The total fee will/could rise to £11m and is very likely to do so. Davies I believe was £8m but none of us know for sure as it was undisclosed thus the fluctuations on here. As for Petrov that is rather more simple, that was £6.5m I thought that was pretty much universally accepted to be honest. The problem is these days transfer fee's is that they aren't simple as so many aren't disclosed and there are so many add ons. I don't remember ANY add on for Young, and I thought it was universally accepted that Davies was 10 mill... as for Petrov depending on the poster is 6.5 - 8.5 million. AIRI Well here you go on Young for a start. Scroll down a bit

  9. I don't think you can say MON has been reluctant to spend money though (Young £11m, NRC £8.5m, Davies £8m) what he has been reluctant to do is bring in large numbers of players. I agree this is frustrating due to the size of the squad but I don't think people can say he has been reluctant to spend.
  10. I know what your saying and a large part of my agrees. I guess in part it is that while I have never particularly liked MON as an individual I have always thought he was a good manager and still do. I also think of him as being above average in terms of intellegance for a football manager so I find it very hard to accept he would sit on the cash. Don't get me wrong I'm not doubting Randy, far from it. I guess I fall somewhere inbetween the two camps. I believe there is plenty of money, I believe MON is a little to cautious with it but I don't believe that the well is as bottomless as some so to a degree MON's caution is though frustrating perhaps understanding. (apologies if I'm not fully or clearly explaining this - its a hard feeling to put into words in a consise form)
  11. I do think if we had managed to get into Europe for next season we would have seen some more ambitious arrivals than we perhaps will. I think the lure of European football shouldn't be under estimated.
  12. Just because I say I can't understand why MON would sit on the cash doesn't mean I don't think he is. I voted for the first of the two answers by the way.
  13. If you read my original post you'll see I answer this Nick.
  14. P.S - I'm not sure the poll is asking the right question. We have shown we can compete for expensive players NRC and Ashley Young. The real question is can we afford to build a squad full of these sort of players and or add a couple from the next bracket up.
  15. I can't make my mind up on this one I really can't. I have no reason to say we haven't, in fact everything I read from MON, Randy and The General make me believe this isn't the case. But I just find it so hard to believe that MON is sitting on a pot of gold he is refusing to spend.
  16. That time of the month again? What Radio 1's crap music day? Yeah seems so
  17. Bloody Sugar Babes - I don't know which one they all sound the same. Bloody Radio 1
  18. Some interesting things there, for me Africa being the most interesting of all. Its nothing I wasn't already aware of but is still a good visual aid for illustrating the vast inbalances of our modern world.
  19. Why is there no option for the evil bird from the last series of The Apprentice? I'm going to boycott this vote in protest.
