  1. I love the way Hopkins sneaks in a headbutt before he slams in the right hand, quality 8) The whole **** fight looked like that, still can't believe Slappy got the nod in that one.
  2. Facing Ali is a great film, watched it last week. Had to laugh at Leon Spinks, they asked him what he did when he got the decision over Ali and he said "I think I broke wind, but my brother still picked me up by my ass anyway" The Great White Hope is a good one too, story of Jack Johnson with James Earl Jones playing the lead role. Raging Bull is an obvious one and definately the best boxing film ever.
  3. You've lost me there :?: Khan is actually in a very difficult position now, thinking about it. If he ducks this guy then who the hell can he fight? Moving up in weight might have been a good move in the short term but I get the feeling 2010 will be an enormously bad year for the guy unless he drops the belt and lets Warren and the gibbering retard pick some cannon fodder for him. Aha, I'm guessing you thought I was talking about Khan getting smashed, but in fact I was referring to Hayden's y'know :winkold: Ah right, now I understand. I wish I didn't but I do

  5. Khan fighting a "dangerous puncher"?! Never thought i'd see it. He'll vacate and fight someone like Morales or maybe even a Barrera rematch. I'm devastated aswell Guess I'll have to make-do with Vitali 8) Not so sure about Maidana....I'd like to hope he shatters Khans glass just for the comedy value but Khan will no doubt duck him. Shame because it could actually be a competitive match from what I've seen of Maidana so far....he hits hard yeah but he's sloppy and also doesn't appear to have a great chin himself.
  6. WTF?! He better not get in the way of my future marriage to her because I will be forced to knock him the **** out. There's a 18 inch height difference I've no idea who she is? He's a right ugly word removed though isn't he, both Klits are in all fairness. She's an actress/singer. As for the second part, bet he's got quite a big knob though There's a thread about it in the ESB lounge Never heard of her  Oh I'm sure there's a thread about it over there, I bet Farmboxer, Mendoza and Widdow are crying into their beers right now. Not to mention Vitali

  8. I was planning to go. Until Bob Arum apparently claimed the cheapest would be $500   In all honesty I think he just wanted a break from boxing so he 'retired' Decided to come back and make some more money. Can't really blame him. I agree re Mayweather, the Hatton fight was the biggest one out there at the time, as was the DLH one, he beat them both and had time off. Leonard was always retiring and coming back too, back in my youth. Leonard was a better fighter than Mayweather without question....but Mayweather is smarter, he'd have never got suckered into a brawl by Duran that's for sure. $500 isn't that bad actually, not sure I'd pay it though. We'll see if the fight happens, maybe one of my stateside mates can get me in for cheap as chips money.
  9. Hmmm makes sense to me, amazing how many fighters are dumb as **** isn't it I've heard wilder stories about why he quit than that though, some of them involving drugs etc....don't believe them to be honest. I think he's probably skint, how he lost the money is irrelevent but the retirement was bullshit, everyone knew it. I'm actually toying with the idea of going to the Pac/Mayweather fight, should it ever happen, depends on what the tickets cost though.
  10. It's gone, whatever it was. What did I miss? Just out of interest. Do you believe those stories about 'Willie' and him screwing Floyd? (Not literally you dirty ****) No idea what you're on about mate, to be honest :|
  11. It's gone, whatever it was. What did I miss? He did a search for how many times "Farmboxer" posted "Void" and there was at least 20 pages of posts that I remember. I've never noticed that one, but I do avoid all the Pac/Mayweather threads, they bore the shit out of me.
  12. It's not Pac fans. It's that racist weirdo farmboxer. Is it really just him? I must've seen it about a thousand times Witton, I know this will (might) make you happy, Mosley/Berto is on Sky Sports :!: Yea, it's just him. He says the same thing in every Mayweather thread and normally says it about 3 or 4 times per thread. He's obsessed with Haye too. He's a Klitschko fanatic, hence the Haye obsession. He gets away with murder on there purely because he's pals with the idiots that own the site. One of the mods banned him recently and ended up getting sacked for it, pathetic. Best to just mock the clown, that's what I do 8)

  14. Pacquiao is a bitch Incidentally I've started reading that Boxing Confidential book I recommended to you again, get it. It's by Jim Gray, in case you're interested. Also there's 2 books out there on the Tyson rape trial, both are great reading. Jim Brady? I ordered it earlier along with the Teddy Atlas autobiography Btw, does the saying 'Void is Void' piss you off as much as it does me Shit yeah that's it, Jim Brady....it's heavy going in places but if you are serious about being a fighter there's a lot of important lessons to be learnt in there - and you'll learn a lot of interesting stuff about the way things used to be in the mafia controlled days, crazy as hell in places and there's a lot of sob stories in there too, reduced me to tears in places. Teddy Atlas's autobiography? WHY??? That Thomas Hauser book on Ali is a must must read too, if you ain't read that then you ain't a boxing fan I actually felt guilty reading that for what a mean word removed I am at times, wish I had the all round decent nature Ali has. I've never heard the saying void is void until you just posted it....what's it' supposed to mean? I heard good things about the Atlas book (I hope they weren't talking about an actual **** atlas :? ) Looking forward to working my way through the boxing confidential book. Time to step uo the training and get into the Amateurs so I'll have to decide what kind of a career it'll be Cherrypicking the money fights most likely 8) The 'Void is Void' crap is something from the ESB general about Floyd. Pac fans saying it in a serious way makes me cringe but I find it strangely funny at the same time :? Let me know if that book is worth reading when you've finished it, might buy it if it's good. I always thought Atlas was an idiot...only a complete moron could have trained Moorer so badly that he lost to Foreman at that stage, I still remember his crap advice for that one  Don't get me wrong I love old George and was delighted when he won, but Moorer and Atlas were pathetic that night. Give me a shout when you've read confidential, I've got a ton of other boxing books, might be prepared to borrow them and save you a few quid if you like. You have to return them though That's why I've never seen that void is void crap then, I generally avoid the Pac/Mayweather threads, it's repetitive bollocks by 2 sets of equally biased fans. I prefer the Lewis/Klitschko stuff

  17. Heston Blumenthal isn't self taught, he worked at Raymond Blancs place with MPW back in the 80's. I do like the guy though, he had the piss taken out of him royally by Amstell when he was on Never Mind the Buzzcocks so he's alright by me. Some love needs to be given to Anthony Bourdain too, his comments about Gwyneth Paltrow are legendary...she made some programme with a chef (might have been Mario Batali) about the culinary delights of Spain, and Bourdain was quoted as saying “Why would you go to Spain with the one bitch who refuses to eat ham?" My vote would go to MPW too, a bit of a rocket polisher yeah but aren't all the others? I saw Ramsay on Jonathan Ross a few weeks back and he was banging on about having Xmas dinner with the Beckhams....for that alone he must die. It was also most amusing when Alex Riley made him look like the lying hypocrite that he is a few weeks back too, fancy serving boiled shit in a bag eh

    Dexter

Watched episode 9 last night....I'll be gutted when I come to the end of this 4th series, it's definately the best one yet. Every episode is better than the previous one, superbly written and acted.
  19. I'd say a 1 year ban if he was twice the limit.....that's what should have happened but I suspect nothing did seeing as you've posted a poll on it.

    America

God bless America, love the place and have visited it several times. Sure it has it's good and it's bad but on the whole it shits all over the UK in a big way as far as I'm concerned, the quality of life is just so much better. Of course it has it's bad parts too, but so do we. Yes it has retarded politicians but so do we. Yes they instigate stupid wars from time to time but so what, that's no reflection on the average American any more than our troops dying in Afghanistan is a reflection on the average Brit. All my best holidays have been taken in the good old US of A, and I'm about to buy a couple of holiday properties there too so I can get there more often (and make a few quid from rent, obviously). I find the place extremely endearing, personally....love the way they all fly their countries flag on their front porch too, you wouldn't dare do that over here, you'd get your windows bricked in  **** the UK, I'm a closet Yank and proud of it.
  21. Chips and mayo is a major weakness of mine, too I'm afraid. Actually I'll happily throw mayo over pretty much anything, love the stuff. Pork Scratchings too, can't resist the **** things. Funnily enough I must have gone 5 years at least without touching them, then some utter rocket polisher decided it'd be a good idea to put them in the vending machines where I work :x I probably have 2 packets of them per week now, not catastrophic I know but I wish they'd remove the bloody things and replace them with something less tempting.
  22. You stole that line from Bad News Tour, you rocket polisher Also Porl Thompson of The Cure played with Page and Plant at their request...sorry mate but I'd put him down as a better guitarist than Adamson, much as I loved old Stuart.
  23. Freebird, just **** brilliant. Stairway is good too but much as I like Zeppelin I can't get past Robert Plants all round cuntishness. I'd rather listen to LA Woman than either of those tracks to be honest though
  24. 2 pages and no mention of Jim Morrison....what a crime. **** gayboy Mercury and his homo preening, Morrison was the man 8)
