  1. hey sellyoak, Im a EPC assessor and I have been looking at bio boilers...i know... just off the top of your head, would you know the differences in energy consumption between a bio and a bog standard combi boiler? i.e. how cost effective are they? How much are they to install etc etc
  2. I think to call him the next Gerrard is very premature..I mean, as someone as said in the 14 games in the middle he has played for us, against stoke an liverpool i didnt think he was brilliant. I just hope that given a proper run of games to get familiar with the roll, he doesn't have as dip in form like ash or gabby have in the past. I think you have to be consistantly good over a long period i.e. 2/3 seasons to be classed anywhere near Gerrard. I love him though, and he has got the POTENTIAL, lets hope he realises it sooner rather than later.
  3. I thought Downing had a quiet game. Ash should have buried that one on one, at this level, there is no excuse for missing one on ones, he could have put it anywhere. Saying that, after the miss he played very well, very direct - as he was doing last season. Heskey was ok, toward the end he made a few sloppy passes as lost possession, but on the whole he had a good game. The fonz's goal was very well taken, but he didnt do much with the ball afterwards, lost possession a couple of times but he always worked very hard. Made some good runs which weren't picked up. Guzan was very good, I said to my brother he'd save it - and he did. Didnt see their goal but it looked a bit strange. Nigel was good, he's got such a tight turning circle and found space everytime he got the ball, bery good game. Collins was very good in the air again, and made a very good tackle around 70 mins to stop them going through for a one on one. Beye gets out of position too much for my liking. He's a decent passer but not much else I dont think. delph looked good when he was on. But i dont think he looked good against arsenal - so maybe hes a bit inconsistant, i dunno, but today he was very good.
  4. I reckon this will be the kick in the arse that we need. After the Man Utd game we HAD to win against Sunderland to make that win worthwhile - we did it. We beat Stoke at home and I think there was a visble tiredness - but we won 'ugly' This game was a no pressure game really because our former wins meant it wasn't THAT important a result. MON wont be happy and neither am i, but we lost against arsenal away, plenty of teams will do that. The way their fans were jumping about you'd have thought they had beaten utd!
  5. James Milner appriciates this thread, but feels it should grow to at least 1000000 pages in length.

I think i've found my level now (24/25ish) Keep getting beaten by knobs who change formation and full pressure!
  7. I laugh at you for saying this thread has turned into a love in. I also hope that you have never fought over some football banter thats gotten the better of your attitude. I don't love the blues, but i also dont have the 'obsession' over them like some of you appear to have. If anyone fights over football (as in robs case on last page) then yes, whoever they support, they are scum. But I have an uncle and grandad who are noses, they are just normal working class people who have done alright for themselves over the years. Andy, the video I linked has other videos down the right hand side, its not just that video I was talking about. If you look at the comments for each video, there are as many villa fans baiting then there are blues. (Although i'm aware they are mostly key board warriors) But on the whole, the reason I started going on about 'loving the blues' is because its something i have always wondered about (other fans opinions anyway) Hope i haven't offended anyone!
  8. It's a subtle attempt at baiting that I'm not going to raise to so there!

Found a good way of defending without diving in and getting bridged. Its also useful if the ball is pinging around your area. Hold L2 & R2 and X It jocking, but maintains pressure so if your player can, he can nick it from players' feet.
  10. Na, I appriciate the banter. Its good. I just don't understand the malicious comments on a website where there are no noses... As I said, let them sing it, we all laugh when we hear it on match of the day, yet sometimes (esp away from home) we do the exact same... its retarded lol
  11. And you don't think they are subjected to the same treatment at our ground? It happens at ALL rivalries away grounds... I went to see Man Utd V Liverpool when Utd won 3-1 I saw some pretty unsavory things outside the ground, its not just blues fans. And its not a blues love in, its just trying not to be petty, throwing insults at them (like they will be doing to us on another forum) its just time to treat them like any other football club. Having said that the atmosphere on derby is great, I love the passion, but rather than shouting 'break that **** leg!' - cant we just support our own team and say 'great tackle!' or summat? lol.
  12. As I said you've all won the 'biggest bloke' competitions. Are you all so small minded that you cant see that its not the peoples fault who they support? If you lot were born in Hull then you wouldnt even think about the blues. they're just people at the end of the day with families. So to call thousands of people in and around birmingham words removed is calling the kettle black really isn't it?
  13. You win the biggest man of the year award..well done. its JUST another football team, which happens to be situated close to us. 50 years ago west brom were our rivals..do you HATE them asewell? what the **** does it matter?
  14. you know what? fair play to them. if it means that blackburn are bottom come january and they have to pay more attention to the league then so be it!
  15. just to add i am from birmingham so i too am 'in contact with them'.
  16. When I look at player of the season I try and base it on who has improved and stepped up that extra level from last season? Who has added something to their game to make themselves a better player? So in my opinion Gabriel Agbonlahor should win it this year. Last season when he went 10-15 games without scoring, there were alot of people around me moaning about him being lazy and not running the channels, not scoring enough, not having a 'football brain' and should be dropped from the team in some cases. During preseason he has asked himself and the people who matter - where can i up my game? His strength on the ball is now a good level - i dont think we'll ever see Drogba strength but he held vidic and brown off the ball yesterday in a few instances. He hasn't lost any pace from where im sitting. He seems more willing to run down the channels this year so he is more determined to help the team out when we need to chase down from the front. His first touch seems much better this year, still not the best admittedly, but its improved considerably. But most importantly - he's scoring goals - valuable goals against some of the best teams in the country. He's near the 10 goal mark now so hopefully we will see him reach 17-22 goals by the end of the season. So my vote goes to Gabs.
  17. Just another football club to me. Just because they are our closest neighbours doesn't mean anything surely? there are certainly 5 or 6 other teams im more worried about playing then birmingham city. I prefer supporting and following my own club then worrying about any others.
  18. Its incredible how short sighted some people are. 2 weeks ago we beat Bolton 5 - 1...How have we had 6 poor preformances? Duuuh
  19. James Milner is so manly - every cell in his body has a pair of testicles - even his sperm cells - and they can all be seen with the naked eye.

So what we're saying then is...its actually realistic? lol
