I don't think our defence is weak but they aren't getting any help from the midfield (except for Nakamba) McGinn and Hourihane are all bombing forward along with our fullbacks. Don't have to be a genius to understand it will have it's side effects. Quite frankly i find it absurd how people are wondering why we concede so many shots and goals, it's pretty obvious why.

Maybe i am obsessed with the shot stats, but it's not something we should ignore and not worry about.

Potter, Farke and Smith are very similar in how they approach any game. Dead set on their way of playing. Smith won't change his system/formation, it's not happening.

It's because of our style of play. Smith even admitted to it in a pre match interview, think it was the pre match Newcastle interview he said it. He said something like "We want to attack with a lot of players going forward and as a consequence we will leave ourselves a bit exposed at the back at times" We might lack a bit match fitness and aggressiveness, but our style of play is the main reason to why we concede loads of goals and chances. Brentford conceded loads under Smith, Walsall as well. This will just be something you have to accept under Smith.

We conceded 20+ shots against Norwich and Brighton as well.

They seem like a copy of Wolves. Only one way of playing, counter attacking football. No plan B. Fair play it works a treat against teams who want to dominate the ball but you will hit the wall against the likes of Burnley. You will for sure never win a title playing that way, top 4 even is a stretch. You might win a cup here and there.
