    An absolute Joke... All the Preston fans on twitter are tweeting him saying stuff like "We love you more than Villa, sign perm for us, Villa don't want you but we do" All because of the way Lambert has treated probably our brightest prospect, and no doubt Callum will get fed up soon and want out as well.. Why did Lambert treat this kid like that, banging them in for Preston then recalls him and never even a sub appearance

    We need some kind of incremental improvement. We need at least 1 center forward prepared to put a decent shift in and chip in with at least the odd goal. I'd love to see the money better spent, but it's transfer deadline day. What else are you realistically hoping happens? Would you rather nobody? Question we need to ask is WHY has Lambert/Lerner/Fox left it to the last minute for a striker and now looking at Prem only strikers!! Very bad management all around..

    Because, right now, we need someone who we know can score in the prem. He might not be as exciting but we know that he can perform in this league and we cannot risk a player who might need 10 games to start firing. Not joking when i would have preferred someone like Yakubu on a free until end of the season (before he went to Reading earlier) over Lambert!! He has premiership experience and has banged in goals where ever he has been.. He is 87 years old though. yeah i know but on a free until the end of the season... who cares

    for £5mil touted for Lambert not sure why we don't bid on Wassem Ben Yedder (Toulouse) or take a punt on Mark Uth (Heerenveen) (who is out of contract in summer and top scorer in Erdivisie)

    Not sure why people get so hung up on age? He knows where the net is thats for sure. Are you saying you wouldn't take Frank Lampard? And like Rickie Lambert is in Frank Lampard's class! i'll have whatever your drinking!! £5mil is a lot for a guy who is 33 next week and is a million quid more than what they paid for him!! he's only scored 2 goals all season!!

    Rickie Lambert is 33 next week! £5mil is way too much for a very average striker! Not sure why we are not looking abroad as some good strikers around that mark in the Dutch/Spanish/German leagues! Lambert would be Grant Holt Mk2 type of signing! Meh

    Crazy!! Gil was needed to be brought as we needed a winger (Creative player) but i really don't think Sinclair was needed! Could have grabbed a striker on loan this window as our strikers arn't going to get close to 20/25 goals between them this season. Dangerous going into February without a new striker (even on loan) we need some different ideas up front and preferably someone who can bang them in.

    hence why i never bothered getting a season ticket this year (first time not bothered now for 10 years) and went 9 away games last season!! simply knew we would be worse this season than last!
