  1. Another bad day for Cameron. :-) the bloke is a complete and utter joke now, who the hell advises him? Commenting while trial is still active, what a complete tool.
  2. Louise Mensch former Conservative MP tweets: Coulson was the finest communications director the Tories had in the modern age. I don't believe him guilty, either.
  3. Another bad bad day for the right wing and this Gvmt. We see Cameron having to grovel and squirm about Coulson - oh the irony when this first broke and some on here said it was one rogue reporter - and we have the continued questioning of IDS and his frankly absurd policies (universal credit especially). Then you have BMA chiefs complaining about the obvious privatisation of the NHS All this at a time when they are usually only trying to spew out good news in the 12 months leading to a general election.
  4. http://www.theguardian.com/politics/2014/jun/23/polish-mps-ridicule-cameron-stupid-propaganda-eurosceptics Great quote from Cameron's "mate" - the Polish Foreign Minister Note: I wont quote it here as it has a swear word or many in it
  5. Quite strong words and accusations there. I would love to see how you back up on a public forum calling someone a racist. I look forward to your "evidence" and also note your tolerance of violence towards women - nice ! Here you go:racist Yasmin She's also on record (BBC Dateline London) in 2006 saying she wanted white men to disappear and hoped that in 100 years they would be a forgotten species. That's pretty racist in my book. As for violence towards women... Wanting to punch that cow is a simple expression of good taste and common sense, actually punching her would be wrong, criminal and rightly bring prosecution. See the difference there? so on a public forum you encourage violence towards women, says a lot really. Wanting to punch a woman is pretty poor IMO obviously we differ a lot in the way we think

  7. Good lord, it must be a quiet day in Leftyville if that's all you've got to moan about. What exactly does "government endorsed monarchy" mean? They're the Royal Family, and like them or loathe them they've been around for hundreds of years. So rather than leaving a bad taste in the mouth, I'm not sure that many people would give two hoots that one of the richest women in the world has just bought her grandson a new helicopter. "Leftyville"? really? .................. a lost argument immediately
  8. OptaJoe ‏@OptaJoe 25s 1958 - #ENG have been eliminated at the opening group stage of a #WorldCup for the first time since 1958. Beaten.
  9. Gerrard never playing for England again hopefully !
  10. I thought Jesus Wept was pretty good ......... great analysing the crosses
  11. And yet again the lfc media bias carries on. Despite what most fans saw as a woeful performance again from gerrard nothing st all in the media to criticise him. One of the worst England captain performances ever but no comment
  12. you may be wrong with politics but there aint a lot wrong with that

    2014 Holiday Plans

TBH I would not bother doing both. Athens is a strange place and you expect it to be Rome-esque but it isn't. Some people like it, I found it a bit meh and a slight disappointment but work does not always allow you to see the best bits While we were in Zante recently we did a fair bit of travelling around the island also we did a trip to the mainland to Olympia to see the site of the original games etc, which I found particularly interesting. you were there for the grand opening weren't you You had to be pure and of no sin to appear .......

    2014 Holiday Plans

I shall be in Athens on Weds , I'll give an update on my return .. my guess is that you'd need a couple of days to do Athens justice ... you could consider a day trip to Delphi as well but it is about 3 hours each way by bus and some of the day tours don't seem to give you very long there , so it might not be worth it Zante is only a 55 min flight from Athens so not what I would deem a lot of hassle , about £50 each way ... if you initially get an Easy jet type one way flight to Athens you could then get a direct flight back to the UK from Zante for about £140 (into Luton or LGW ..didn't see a BHX flight) , save you the hassle (and £50) of going back to Athens You need to set up your own website/company Tony cheers for that man. Flights to Zante are available from all over - Monarch do a BHX I think, Leeds Bradford with Jet2, Manc with various, EMA with loads all around etc - accomodation is cheap on Zante also and you can get 1-5 star whatever you want .

  16. We can barely communicate with apes and they are almost exactly the same as us. It's fair to say we probably won't be able to communicate with another intelligence. Pardon?
  17. Hi the beaches on Bali are OK - there are some better in the world and some worse We stayed at Nusa Dua (in the Conrad) and the beach was sand with a few rocks. In terms of Kuta as Tony says its the most popular so will always be busy - we didn't find it windy but I suppose it's all about the weather when there. There are lots of other beaches that you can drop off at without many people If in Bali don't stop on the beaches, get up to Ubud - some awesome things to see and experience around there IMO
  18. Gerrard is almost completely shot as an athlete, his legs have gone and you can see that by how his pace just isn't there and how his balance is often off, he shouldn't be anywhere near that first team. Italy aren't a very good side and England well, showed they don't have end product and that they can't defend. The media bias towards Liverpool help Gerrard out enormously. A quick read through various forums, twitter, facebook etc show that the majority of fans clearly see what a bad game Gerrard had, but in the media nothing. The BBC - who have put a great performance so far - really did let themselves down with total avoidance of mentioning Gerrard - the captain and so called midfield general - but preferred to concentrate on Rooney As much as I dislike the bloke I could not have seen Terry performing the captain role in such a way as we saw from Gerrard last night

    Albania

re Albania - you will get a lot of "street urchins" asking you for the obligatory Euro - evil look and a NO will usually suffice. It's poor basically and its one of those tick off the list places - but I haven't spent any length of time there so I suppose it has to be put on the "maybe will revisit" pile

    2014 Holiday Plans

Just had a couple of weeks in Greece - planning a couple of other holidays later. Greece prices are pretty good this year with pound vs euro rates not bad - bottle of Mythos 2-3 Euro's etc Interesting the reaction of many nationalities to Russian tourists though - genuine dislike now showing quite openly
  21. I have been a few times (mostly with work). Think of it as a city stop over rather than a break. I liked walking around the place and in parts was hilly (Note: there are lots of tunnels under it that the banks use but you wont get access to those!). Surprisingly a lot of Portuguese people live there ! It's an OK town IMO
