TBF NuremburgVillain please look at my post last night. Villa had a verbal agreement with the player concerned.

No he'd agreed to come but his agent thought he could get a better deal & was persuading him to look elsewhere. at least that's my understanding of what's happened. Just basically messing us about after it had all been agreed As I said the other day - if this fell through blame the people around Clyne. Perhaps MM or others will have more details in time. Really though if he'd been any kind of success at Villa - if that's what his agent is all about - then surely he'd have been touting him round for "a bigger move" as soon as possible. Would we or Lambert realistically want that?

Lets hope he can do it here, does this now rule out Nathaniel Clyne? Apparently it does - Clyne's not coming just been told - messing us about so went elsewhere. Verbal agreement as well with player - just goes to show it's all about agents and £££s!

Let's hope Lowton turns out to be a success like Jonny Howson - IIRC Lambert plucked him from the lower leagues and turned him into a really decent PL midfielder. Culverhouse was a RB so I'm sure they know what they're doing.

Course if Hutton leaves would be nice to have both Lowton & Clyne, but I think Lichaj needs to be given a chance as well because he did well last season both at LB & RB.

Maybe but it sounds like Clyne has been messing us about, or at least his agents have and Lambert I wouldn't imagine is one to be trifled with - rumours now that Man Utd & Everton are courting him as well. Sounds like he's not heading to West Ham from what Palace Chairman tweeted earlier.

Well done Lambert for not standing being messed about and getting a RB sorted. Can play CB as well apparently.

Watched the full interview with Stan on AVTV - will be absolutely amazing if he can join in with "Pedal for Petrov" at some stage. I'll definitely go and cheer them on when they come past here t'up North.

Petrov's been in today to training to meet all the players & Cully & Karsa - on his birthday. According to Ian Taylor on that tweety thing... Brilliant news he's out of hospital.

Judging by his re-tweet yesterday of someone singing "Brad is coming home...." It sounds like he's pleased to be coming back. I think for an understudy there's not much better options TBH.

Who also said OGS was the next manager of AVFC IIRC. None of them should say deals are done & dusted because TBH until the player is signed no one can say for sure. Agent_ITK is being proclaimed a hero for calling AVB to Spurs ages ago & RVP leaving Arsenal....... but he tweeted Clyne would be AVFC's first signing on Sunday. If Clyne doesn't sign at all...then he's going to look even more of a fool because he wasn't right .... KEA was our first signing the next day!

Who are the proven ITKs? and who in the media has mentioned Clyne off to West Ham apart from Talksport - Moose via twitter? James Nursey & Kendrick tweeted that they'd been told Lambert was after Clyne IIRC. As BOF said in the deleted thread - it's unfair to accuse anyone of spouting tosh because players can change their minds in football as in life, right up to the last minute.

Of course wages/signing on fee might be a factor as well I would think. These days players move where there agents tell them to. If it's true & Clyne plumps for Bubble blowing Landan..... Wonder if Lambert will go in for Naughton or maybe Gunter who he was chasing when he was at Norwich?

CastleBromVilla - I do not post rubbish from twitter thank you very much! I might post funnies but I only repeat what I think has a good chance of being correct. Unless it is clearly rubbish which I say...SO STOP MOANING! I was joking when I tweeted that he was PFs understudy no one's told me that honestly...... Someone who supposedly has contacts at B6/BMH told me that he's asked about IncognitoAVFC's identity & no one appears to have a clue who he is at the club However his deleted tweets at the time of Lambert's appointment were pretty priceless and appeared to be on the metal. And the fact that he has refused to name any players actually would make me think he may well be an insider or close to someone who is.
