  1. Why not. The other 4 ITV races at Wetherby (Excluding Chaz Hall) look like there could be oppurtunity in those somewhere.
  2. The renewal of the Charlie Hall is a bit bollocks - 4 horses! There's a couple of decent looking races up at Ayr. Notably 2.15, 2.53, 3.28 if you have RTV mate? About to have a scour of the fields now across the cards and see if it's worth getting involved.
  3. Ah okay. I didn't realise that on the first part and Liverpool etc. As for the second part, i can't think of many that were fond of her (Except Ronald Regan), but yes, she was an absolute horrible bastard for sure and caused so much unforgivable shit.
  4. Yes! Completely agree. Being in the profession, I equally get cheap thrills going back to a customers house a couple of days later (those that have new flooring fitted) and yes. It's fantastic. - even better in tour own home
  5. Yep. There and Liverpool IIRC? But the Corby part, Settlement from the Scottish who came south to find work which was the steelworks at that time in the 60's and 70's until Thatcher closed it all. When the steelworks closed, the Scottish folk still remained. It gathered the name 'Mini Scotland.'
  6. It's not the best of places in the UK, too true. An industrial shithole.
  7. According to this website here we did Bicks. Okay, it was from a few years back, but I knew we once did. I recall Blacon, Cheshire and Corby, Northants were flying the flag high for the UK at one stage. However, I have since read we have managed to get that stat down as the latter of your post also states.
  8. It's been pointed out since I last posted that people DO in fact get pregnant just for the extra gain it brings.. whether that's more DSS, entitlement to get a council house quicker, etc. But if you don't want to believe that then that's your choosing. Believe what suits I suppose. Fair enough if you didn't. More of an insinuation then perhaps? Steveo may have posted a link to a website, but I don't think you can just take the findings of one website and that's that. It's like trying to say Football insider website is the only sauce of football transfers. I'm merely commenting on what I have known and read, whether those stats have now since changed and improved is good, not like it's never existed though. If you're happy to look up stats you feel your boots pal. As long as they're not just filtered to your suiting then carry on.
  9. I really wasn't though. I remember alot from when I was young. It was nothing like it was compared to now, which is the point I'm making. A few posters have said as much in the posts before this. I know im allowed, I accept it. I'm equally just as happy for any debate, no problem either. Any points I raise I am happy to be challenged on, and people don't just need to agree. I don't think anyone is pretending they cannot have an opinion but I appreciate the valid points you have raised in your posts all the same.
  10. No different to being labelled a Daily Mail reader? Equally boring. What's the stats for Teenage pregnancies in the UK, which is what the post also said. Can you throw in those stats too while you're on the stat mission.
  11. Pregnancy has not been in decline for decades, that's just utter nonsense. England had and probably still has the highest pregnancy rate in Europe. (especially tennagers). FYI, I don't read.. nor have I ever read the daily mail. I forgot having an opinion on some.of these forums is not warranted unless you just nod and agree and go with the grain. I suppose that will throw me into another category aswell, like being a daily mail reader, a flat earther or a conspiracy theorist! ...And the band played.
  12. I get where you are coming from with your post. I am under no illusion of the past generations and changing with the times etc. i.e 'this generation is worse than the last' mindset. Upbringing, worldview, traditions, perspectives differ in many ways. Plus, as with different cultures, if many don't understand the differences and acknowledge them then it leads to generation diversity and it will always be a controversial subject regardless of individuals views and opinions. I suppose it will always continue the more the world changes and technology etc. evolves. For me, the point I was mainly referring to is how kids/children are bought up and raised, people seem to churn out children like pellets from a tommy gun because it leads to more money from the DSS, not because they're serious about having a family. I'm sure you'll have heard the phrase 'some people shouldn't be allowed to have children'. They simply appear to have them for the wrong reasons and as a consequence they end up just being dragged up rather than 'raised', separated families, broken homes, etc and turn out to be little bastards - worse than when me and you were younger. I can't say that was the same about generations past.
  13. I had a quick glance at today's card last night and only one race looked like it would have been worth while getting involved in anyway, but no suprise it's abandoned mate.
  14. All the jump cards at Wetherby, Ffos Las & Down Royal abandoned today.
  15. It's hillarious and equally borderline insanity.
  16. Glad they are okay. The horses and jockeys safety are the most important, and based on what you've said then they were absolutely right to abandon the meeting.
  17. No massive assumption. It comes based from what people experience.
  18. Compare now to say 10, even 15 years ago. What access they have to things online, how some of them come across online. Certain types of parents that drag their kids up rather than bring their kids up. The narcissist thing is/was something that I've also had first hand experience of. Making someone 'the golden child' only carries on that trait that may or may not have gone on through the generations of families. But unless it's just me getting old, most youngsters nowadays seem to be little bastards than compared to that of say 10/15 years ago.. again, only talking from what I've witnessed and experienced.
  19. Good luck with them mate. £6.30 isn't that bad a stake to guinea pig a system. All trial and error. I seen Fakenham was abandoned after the first race yesterday due to the adverse weather. Hopefully Ascot and Wetherby are okay come Saturday.
  20. Not a chance, despite how good it might be.
  21. Anyway, bollocks to Man Utd. He ain't going there so I'm not sure it's worth even continuing the discussion. I think Sunday is going to be an interesting game at Forest and I think Unai will have us ready to go with another tactical genius plan to collect another hard fought, but well deserved, 3 points!
  22. We need to ask ourselves.. Was Arsenal a mega club before Wenger arrived? No. Was Manchester United a mega club before Ferguson arrived? No. Were we a mega club before Emery arrived? No. The first two managers remain two of the longest serving managers in PL history. During their tenure at their clubs they built a dynasty which is now what many might now class them as a mega club today? I think (and hope) Emery will possibly try and emulate that here with Villa in terms of honours etc. Will he stay here for 20+ years to became the PL longest serving manager as a team, I don't know. But it would be great if he does. We certainly seem to have all the right people in all the right places now to propell this club to the heavy heights of football once again and it's something we have been crying out for since I can remember. I'm not sure what more there is that we can do apart from sit and watch it all unfold and celebrate the good times ahead. Unai Emery leaving Villa is the last thing I am actually concerned about.
  23. The way society has changed in this last decade or so, it's no suprise to see more and more idiotic/narcisstict/entitled children these days. You only have to look at who they were bought up and raised by and how and it really comes as no suprise. I 'liked' your original post based on the Narcissitic element you elude to, through unfortunately having experienced and witnessed it on quite a few occasions.
