Surely you realise how hypocritical this sounds, teams, there tempo and style are instilled by the manager. Good ones use a system that suits the players to achieve that, Gerrard has come down with his crappy PowerPoint and has no idea how to fix it when things do not work. He is absolutely out of his depth, no Plan B, no tactical nous, no system tweaks, no tempo, no style just a rigid formation that blatantly doesn’t work

This is like death from a thousand cuts now, I agree with Collomose, Gerrard has done nothing to earn our backing. I would take Deano back in a heart beat, we would still have our moments and likely sit mid table, but at least we would be supporters again. Purslow made a terrible error in judgement and the ripples are across the club, not just on the pitch. Some of the rationale on here for keeping him is just sticking your head in the sand and hoping things work out, they are not going to. It’s obvious so let’s get this done so everyone can move on.

The only thing keeping him in a job was beating the bottom four, we cannot even do that now. Mings and Watkins nowhere near England Squad, Kamara was dropped from France squad even before his injury, Archer now over looked by the u21’s, Dougie pulled out of new contract. Beyond Villa Ladies, struggling for positives at the club at this time. Owners need to step in right now and grow a pair

I think the results against Leicester and Southampton are irrelevant, I would still be sacking him if Tuchel or Poch would come. That’s what ambitious clubs do I think both would personally

I wish people would stop staring as if some authority that “so and so” would not come to Villa. This club has ambition and has backed its managers, the thing that has held us back is the Manager. We need to grow some balls, pull the plug on the failed experiment and give Poch or even Tuchal a £100m budget for Jan and say, go for it
