  1. God no, would be a huge mistake, not good enough, but the article did make me laugh... Nice one Pete. But jesus we should be aimed higher, pardon the pun!
  2. They are ****... losers and all that vote for them!!
  3. Well, you will find most of the country disagreeing with you there, I feel... Iraq was 1 point of hundreds!
  4. Eh?? He invented the so-called "Pop Idol" Politics, based on spin and bullshit! Nick. There is a difference between Poportional Representation and "Public Relations". I think you may be confusing the two .... Think I have got my wires crossed here... whoops, and I do know the difference now I know the topic!
  5. Eh?? He invented the so-called "Pop Idol" Politics, based on spin and bullshit!
  6. And that PR is a product of this labour government, Bliar was the king of it!
  7. B'Jesus, they really are finished..... good riddance to bad rubbish!!
  8. Oh Bicks, So Andrew and Harry went nowhere controversial, when was the last time you went into a war zone? I see... and I have already mentioned Phillip earlier in the thread.
  9. I didn't say they can't or should Mich, I said in the UK, it works, it's not undemocratic, I find it very good (even if I don't like the current government, they were elected democratically), the Royal are excellent embassadors.. Why is that so difficult to understand, I really don't think a president would have the same international image, you really don't see global protests when the Royals travel, as you do with the US/French, etc presidents
  10. Not entirely true, I am all in favour of a democratically elected government, for that I call myself a democrat, as far as the UK goes, I agree with the current system for our head of state. I class myself as a democrat, because the people that make the decisions are the ones I voted for.. QED.
  11. It was actually the beach they played, if I recall correctly!
  12. But the fact of the matter it's not a simple yes or no.... in the UK, the Head of State/Head of the Commonwealth, etc, effectively would never use the power enabled to them, they are good for international relations. And to be honest, if the head of state was given to public vote, we would have every chance of a Dubya, I prefer our methodolgy thanks very much Bill.
  13. Yes they have, you really ignore posts you don't want to read, don't you!
  14. Erm, John lee Hooker might disagree!
  15. It's never the same when it's not your team playing nick, dont let the scouse beat you up inside. It really seems to get to you. Don't let it. It doesn't... but as far as Boring teams go, Redscouse are the top of the list.. Derby where more entertaining!!
  16. It's better than Carlsberg!
  17. Ok, that's not bad mouthing him, my fault. And Hendrix I can agree on, and so would Brian, I'm sure of that. But Clapton, van Halen and Page? They weren't ahead of Brian, never in a million years. Agree to disagree... Brian May, as nice a bloke as he is, never did anything innoventive unlike the rest of the list (Knofler excluded) he was a good pop guitarist, maybe even the bext "Pop" Guitarist, nowhere near one of the best in the world, not even in the top 30!
  18. Nope, he doesn't, but he would say, like himself, he wouldn't be on a list with Clapton, Hendrix, Van Halen, Page and Vaughan! And by the way I would know this, considering, I travelled through South East Asia with his son!
  19. Not according to Tony Iommi...
  20. If I had your Queen collection, Id choose blind and deaf
  21. And Knofler and May have no right being on that list!
