Predictable. The word removed shouldn't even be on the pitch.

That's another two-footer. Spurs should be down to 8 men.

Now what about the word removed who pushed Benteke three times?! Retaliation is acceptable now is it?! ****!

What the **** just happened? I don't understand. Why are Tottenham restarting play in the centre circle?
  5. I set my game limit to 2 or 3 (can't remember which) so I wasn't stung with a massive bill if I somehow got them all. I agree, it seems wrong that some people can end up going to several games whereas most people end up with nothing. I'm not sure how realistic it would have been but ideally, there should've been some sort of system for a more even distribution of tickets. This exact same thing happened with the Olympics. To be one of the lucky ones eh?
  6. I applied for all of England's group games and all potential knock-out matches. Didn't get a thing. Neither did any of my mates. Yet a friend of a friend got tickets for a group game, semi-final AND final. word removed. I know the ballot is random but that still doesn't seem fair.

  8. I haven't been watching regularly but when I do I find Reigns pretty boring. He's cringeworthy on the mic. I hope they wait until Daniel Bryan returns and have him beat Lesnar to get his title back, preferably at Wrestlemania. Bray Wyatt is the coolest character at the moment but they don't seem to be making the most of him.

You say to eat less carbs but then recommend sweet potato... . There's nothing inherently fattening about carbs. Unless there's some specific intolerance, the average person can can have 25-35% of their calories come from carbs and still be considered low carb. It's the quality of carbs that count. Fibrous carbs are preferable but there's nothing wrong with a few starches either. And white potatoes are fine. Recommending a boring diet is counter-productive. The key to a successful diet is adherence. For the average person, a boring diet is going to be tough to stick to. A pro bodybuilder obviously has a lot of motivation to stick to the basics. I'm 106kg with around 10% body fat at the moment and have eaten different things every day this week. As well as chicken breast I have had chicken and turkey thighs, beef steaks, salmon, tuna, pork and some lamb. My carbs have mostly come from fruits and vegetables, sweet and white potato and quinoa, with fats from meat, olive oil, nut butters and seeds. I'm currently consuming roughly 3500 calories (which puts me at a slight deficit based on my BMR) per day with 35% each protein and carbs and 30% fat but as long as I eat enough protein, the macros aren't that important and are, within reason, a matter of taste and preference. My carbs could be higher but I don't actually enjoy them that much, so I eat less. I've also had a couple of 'treats' here and there, whilst remaining in my deficit. I agree that dieting doesn't have to be complicated - just eat at or below maintenance calories, with enough protein and exercise and you're set. The fatter you are, the larger the deficit should be. Intermittent fasting is unnecessary but can be a good way of getting people eating less and providing a plan to follow.

Tabata is great but I would say that it is something to progress to. Think minimum effective dose. There's no point destroying yourself with work:rest ratios of 2:1 when starting off at 1:3-4 will probably do the trick to begin with. The key is to always try to leave room for progression. Everybody's different but I'm doing 1:3 intervals at the moment (15:45 seconds), using battle ropes, KB swings and bike mainly. The fat is melting away pretty rapidly, and I'm maintaining muscle mass (my diet also has a lot to do with this). When my progress starts stalling, I'll move to 1:2 and so on. In fact, I probably won't go any lower than that as I find that it impedes my recovery. I posted a while ago in this thread about how awesome HIIT is, with it's positive effect on muscle fibre conversion and increase in aerobic capacity.
  11. Even with my general apathy towards most things football-related these days, I have to admit that I'm actually pretty gutted about this. Not that I expected us to sign him with everything that's (not) happening but he would've been exactly what we need and it would've been great to see him come "home" at some point before the end of his career.
  12. My word, he really is a **** imbecile.
  13. Really? I quite enjoyed it. Not as good as the first granted. I'll probably side with Meath on this when I see it then, since I thought the first one was pretty awful. I loved the first one but thought the second was one of the worst films I've seen in a long time. Which doesn't bode well...
  14. The Lego Movie is the funniest film I've seen in a while. Very highly recommended.
  15. It's going to be harsh on anyone in that XV that doesn't feature in the next test. I'm would certainly keep Morgan over Vunipola and probably retain Eastmond at 12. I would bring Lawes back in as he's potentially our best player but Parling was really good today. A quick word on Chris Robshaw - that guy is an absolute warrior and the most underrated player in world rugby. Another absolutely outstanding game and he got the better of McCaw. Hopefully won't be too long before he shakes the unwarranted tag of being nothing more than a solid workhorse.
  16. Regardless of the score, these England boys are absolute legends. What an effort.

Ah ok. I used to train with a Muslim guy who trained through Ramadan. I didn't realise/had forgotten he couldn't drink either.

Isn't a lot of research on intermittent fasting carried out on those observing Ramadan? Don't use it as an excuse not to go! Unless there are other non-dietary factors that I'm embarrassingly ignorant of...

Sounds suspiciously like nerve pain to me... Could be so many different things though as the shoulder is ridiculously complex and muscle imbalances in the chest, back and arm can have an effect. A good sports physio is worth their weight in gold.
  20. Apparently a few wrestlers were training in my gym today - Rusev, Lana, Big E, Joshua(??) and.... KANE! Would've been cool to have seen the big man.

Yep, walk or jog is fine. They're a killer though - build up to them gradually!

If you've got a suitable slope anywhere nearby, try hill sprints. Much kinder on the joints and hamstrings.

Fair play for losing all that weight - a very impressive effort! Unfortunately, as far as I know (which means this is far from a conclusive answer) I'm don't think that there is anything exercise-wise that you can do to reduce the surface area of the skin. What you could do, however, is start a simple, progressive strength training program which should help you gain a significant amount of muscle (if combined with the right diet) and 'fill in' some of the skin, so to speak. There's actually a guy in my gym in a similar situation to you and he's getting pretty good results now that he's hitting the weights. His skin certainly seems to look less saggy than it did this time a few months ago, which I'm guessing is due to his increased muscle mass. It might be worth doing a bit of research to see what others in your situation have done. Keep us informed - best of luck!

Surely there's a Team GB physio that should be taking care of that??? Rather than a bunch of meatheads off of the internet .
