I really don't like the fact that everyone is predicting a Villa win tonight and I've just heard Darren Bent just on Talkshite saying how not one Chelsea player gets in the Villa side, stoking the flames even further. They aren't playing well but they are more than capable of pulling a performance together. Plus this is Villa.....we know what we do for other teams or non-scoring strikers.

It is also Alan Smith who grew up supporting Aston Villa, having been born just eight miles from Birmingham. A quick google confirms what I thought I knew. As I said, he tries a bit too hard to compensate during his commentary.

If you bother to read my first post about him you will see I've put - "However, I have absolute faith that Emery will either make him come good or ship him out and he should get our support as long as he's at the club." He will get my support. But I don't rate him at the moment, and I'm hardly bitching. I'm interested to know what other people see in him.

Just watched this documentary on the back of watching Mr Bates vs The Post Office. Absolutely scandalous, amazing it's taken the tv programme to get the government talking about it. Truly horrifying what people with power can do to a minority.

I'll reserve judgement-most attacking players manage to carve themselves out an opening and miss the target every game and don't get lauded for it. "Great effort, gonna be a great player". We will see.

This guy has shown next to nothing yet to suggest we should sign him permanently-runs into blind alley after blind alley and his shooting is little better than that of Tonev. People are talking about how great his strike against Boro was that actually missed the target.
