  1. I think the fact that no one seems to want to take the job would also suggest that Labour could have a problem for a few years yet.How do you work that one out? Do you expect people to be openly throwing their hats into the ring whilst he's still in charge (allegedly). I'd guess there are plenty willing and eager to take over, just not many capable.
  2. In what way - don't by-elections always have much higher turn outs than general elections?
  3. 4. Should there not be a third option of having your ears sealed with wax?
  5. Well I voted Young anyway as I guessed the pole mite have been about muzak, but the spider would have swung it for me anyway. Got spot SV.
  6. Musakly, young, but dylan is more amusing. And young never had a rabbit named after him.
  7. It was a damn sight more entertaining than that turgid shower of shite than Manchester United and Chelsea served up at the 2007 final. or manure v arse, or arse v pool or manure v millwall or chelseas v Villa. And there were plenty more tosh finals before that with the big teams involved.
  8. Dunno - pompey don't do that defend as a unit thing - there will always be openings and cardiff are going to scramble after scraps they can.
  9. More credit to kanu for reactions than debit to enckleman for cutting out the cross
  10. Interesting that people are obsessed about this 'arry being a crook thing. He is accused of the same crimes as those that ferguson, sounness, graham, allardyce, clough, gregory, venables have also been accused of. Arry never had the good fortune of having his son act as an agent as ferguson and allardyce had. And the only people proven to have accepted cash in return for soliciting transfers remains as graham and ferguson. Yet arry gets more grief than the others. How bizarre.
  11. More importantly, when cardiff fans go rampaging through some small town in belgium is it welsh clubs or inglish clubs that get banned from yrop?
  12. Cardiff for Dave Jones. A man shat on by the media and his employers, and later by wolves. If pompey win I'll be glad for James - a player we never should have sold.

  14. WKRP in Cincinnati Failing that radio 4
  15. By december we will likely be suffering the effect of the next round of energy price increases (which is why I went for the over 4% bracket). But however they're weighted it obviously isn't enough as they didn't blow CPI over 4% with the last wave of increases. And then of course you've got Sales, Sales, Discounts, Bargains Galore
  16. 2.1 - 3% By december a lot of last year's energy inflation will have worked it's way out of the figures Yes and No. The CPI rate of inflation is as reported. However it's not the rate that is applicable to Joe Bloggs in the street, and should not be the one used for wage settlements etc. The EU have standardised on the CPI for reporting - that's fine, doesn't mean it's the one that reflects real life.
  17. The really sad thing, is that if only they had managed to take one solitary point from their more illustrious second city rivals, they'd have stayed up.
  18. And they'll all take you the "scenic route"
  19. you sure? whenever ive been through an airport (and ive been a few times) the big transparent containers as you check in are full of lighters There used to be a qualification (in the UK) that only one lighter per person was allowed, this has been raised to two. Also if you want to but a souvenir lighter on the plane you are limited to two per person, bound to stop the terrorists. The US banned all lighters on planes after 9/11 but lifted that when the silly liquids in a plastic bag idea was introduced.
  20. In Britain? isn't that a place of work? It's a palace - palace of westminster - and as such the law doesn't apply. Also doesn't apply in nightclubs where the ginger prince has been snapped smoking.
  21. Katie Melua Utter pith, like comparing lily allen with brigitte bardotI'm just going to hold my hand up here and concede to a huge brain fade. I read Nanci Griffith and somehow interpreted it as 'Norah Jones'. Don't ask me how, and no there was no alcohol involved. I retract my previous comparison Phew, I just about to hire ashvilla (PI) to hunt you down and terminate.
