  1. Egypt: Army crackdown in Cairo's Tahrir Square What are NATO doing in libya again? We're leaving the rebelling peoples in Tunisia, Egypt, Yemen, Bahrain to be crushed, but NATO are in Libya, helping turn the leaderboard green.
  2. Will Iceland Vote “No” or commit financial suicide? Well the people of Greece rioted instead of voting yes, the people of Ireland voted NO and the politicians of Portugal voted NO, but they're all still sold down the river. Let's hope the icemen prevail.
  3. Actually, Wales isn't a country, so you should have smashed that glass in your own face!
  4. Don't worry he still respects your opinion regardless of how wrong your previous opinions may have been shown to be.
  5. But this tory govt, they're not all that bad
  6. Just like you thought Dunne and Collins should be given more chances to play together yes? After that weekend performance you still agree with your statement? Dies that mean his opinion has less worth?
  7. Well the EU do a bit of this - if you go back to 2005 there was a row with the chinese over the quota of clothes allowed to be imported - this wasn't really sharing the profits but protecting certain members. The agricultural policy also protects certain member countries whilst harming third world countries that would be able to compete without the subsidies. The other champions of economic freedom, the US of A also operate similar protectionist measures.
  8. We are not a pacey team when we hold the ball and do nowt. We tend to pacey when we actually score goals, by reverting to the old hated counter attacking footie.
  9. If we are to compare the disastrous tenure of GH to BMc, then the response is to find the manager who has built with his own hands; then it was GT Mk1, now it is Coyle. Moyes is too bruised and never built his own empire, Holloway a little fey, and the only other manager who has built and gone forward is one Neil Warnock. Coyle or Warnock, regardless of division would improve the current performances, and results.
  10. I thought Downing's strength (over Johnson) was that he was more of a footballer, and would be able to evolve as a footballer, play in different positions. Not just on the wings but from the centre and use his footwork to dictate a game. But it turns out he's a bit of a pussy when it comes to putting his foot in where it matters. If we could go back 24 months in time, and we had got Johnosn, we could have moved milner into the centre earlier and last season would have been quite different, an extra few points very different.
  11. So you in effect have laws without representation? How is that handled in your constitution? Just seems a little strange.
  12. If you're disregarding the poll, your point in posting in the thread is what?
  13. See Fran, the troll's got ya. Should've left it alone.
  14. Feel free, don't do norwegian google too well.
  15. That's lame Fran - just as lame as when people call fans who want Houllier out lame. If there were noses in here they'd be sussed. How do you no there aren't any??.You're scraping the barrel when there is no need. Why?
  16. I wonder how many of you would change your opinion if we didn't win another game this season! Ifs and butts, me arse. It wouldn't change what people thought of his performance over the last two months - which seems to be the point of the poll.

  18. Yes it is, on anything that can be linked to the workings of the single market. And given the vagueness of the wording of the agreement, any half decent lawyer will be able to make that link. Theoretically we have the right to veto EU legislation, but we haven't so far in nearly 20 years. Understandably so: the EU is our biggest trade partner too, we don't want to piss them off. OK let's go for an example. Is the EU ruling on home Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) applicable under norwegian rules, ie are you forced to have them by the EU? [edit]Or did you pass separate domestic law in order to comply?[/edit]
  19. The case for The referendum is flawed in that we only have two options - a little change or 'as we were', but in terms of increased democratic represntation there is only one answer available. The people must vote yes.
  20. If you were to sit down now and design a euro wide pact, the EU is not what you would draw. When something is so badly constituted it deserves a complete overhaul. I'm in favour of a lot of what the EU does, but the fact that is fundamentally broken from the corruption of it's process (no real democratic representation) to the failure of it's own procedures (no accounts signed for years) to the gravy train for the people who run it; it needs a major overhaul. Default of the PIG (one I, Italy isn't going to default, neither is Spain) and the defection of the UK may kickstart a little naval gazing and real world thinking. But with the pigs (human) with the snouts in the trough that isn't going to happen unless Germay decide to say nicht mehr.
  21. (serious) Girlfriends from the age of 16 (ie more than a couple of visits) blonde, brunette, blonde, blonde, red, brunette, brunette, blonde, brunette I think I'm more attracted to blondes, but more likely to 'fall' for brunettes. Voted blonde.
  22. Apologies, I appear to have added a little too much mustard.
