  1. Exactly, I want us to go for Klopp
  2. Like I said, he’s done an incredible job getting us to where we are now, and he’ll always be thanked for that
  3. You asked if they’d stabilised. Arsenal after losing wenger were always going to dip, that was inevitable. Now they look to be progressing. Yes spurs were in the champions league final but the manager who got them there got sacked (they were 14th when Jose took over) under poch. Jose had a huge job on his hands and got them to a final in the process. Dean has had to turn it around three seasons in a row now, that’s the difference. That’s where the ship has sailed. We will not progress when we can’t perform for a full season. We can blame fitness or injuries or whatever you want but the facts are there, we aren’t good enough. Im assuming it continues this season as the stats show it’s been the case for the full year, that’s all. We looked a very decent side last year and managed 11th, 12th this year will be some reach.
  4. Arsenal have finished 8th two seasons in a row, and now look a lot more solid. Spurs finished 7th last season and will progress again with appointing conte. Everton we’re unlucky Ancelotti went back to Madrid but still finished top half. Our owners have made it clear we want to be fighting for Europe, smith is not capable of it. You’ve still not given any reason as to why you think we can progress to those levels with smith. If you’re happy bottom half then that’s fine, but that’s not where we’ve been told we’re aiming for.
  5. My feeling is that we won’t sack smith without their being someone lined up
  6. This is what it boils down to, if people don’t want to see that for themselves then that’s on them
  7. Which teams in the top 10 last season had long serving managers? Liverpool and City. That even extends to the year before when you have Dyche and wilder included. The time of long serving managers has gone. Wilders actually a great example. You could argue he shouldn’t have been sacked, or maybe he reached his potential with the squad. And Sheffield wanted to progress. If you’d rather go down with Smith, or maybe even finish bottom half than try and bring someone in who could do a better job then fair enough
  8. How come? Results and stats tell the story
  9. Again, we don’t know enough. What we do know is Dean isn’t good enough for where we want to be, and I’m sure the owners will be aware of that.
  10. I am assuming yes, based on our current form and our form throughout 2021 well finish around the relegation places. Have you seen anything to suggest otherwise? We’ve never had consistency in any season with Dean, any real consistency. We can’t continue giving him chances to turn it around. I do think we have better owners than that, and that’s why I think they’ll find a suitable replacement.
  11. Well, obviously. But they appointed Dean who did an incredible job getting us to where we are now, didn’t they? Was Dean available? Maybe they might have the ability to appoint a manager who may take us further, just a thought.
  12. What’s the alternative though, go down with Dean but at least he knows the club well? I would rather the club try and find a solution rather than this season turns into any more of a horror. Look at Vieira at palace at the minute, doing a great job. There’s managers out there
  13. I’ve been pretty vocal as to why think we need a change. My opinion is we’ve seen enough this season to suggest we need a change. And I’m finished with the argument that he’s pulled through bad spells before argument because we know it’s going to happen again. And also the lost his best player argument because our record throughout 2021 has been so poor, we’ve lost the most premier league games out of anyone. I’m also done with waiting for players to return from injury because we still have a group of players who are either in their second or third season in the league and look like they have no idea what they are supposed to be doing. Dean had a lot of credit in the bank for what he’s done for us the last few years but I think it’s spent now. We’re now potentially in a relegation battle and have lost 5 games on the spin, that’s not good enough. It’s not my job to sack him and it’s not my job to find a suitable replacement. I’m just past the idea of giving more time for him to fix things because of what I’m watching every time we play and of our stats to back it up.
  14. I disagree to be honest. I do think fans are so much more knowledgable but not to the degree of those above in the club. We don’t actually know who’s available or who’s interested in the job. We also don’t genuinely know how ambitions our owners are and we could be aiming a lot higher than we’re suggesting on here with Potter, Lampard etc. Ancelotti to Everton is an example.
  15. Posted while looking in the mirror
  16. If Percy tweets this then I don’t think that’s the case
  17. 100% agree with this. It’s been obvious for two seasons, Terry even said in an interview we were asking him to play out of position. Sometimes we see glimpses of what mcginn does regularly for Scotland and I’d like to see him do it for us more often, but we don’t give him the chance IMO.
  18. Absolutely. But I’ve also seen us play lump ball all season. Leak goals all season, struggle to maintain possession all season and struggle to create chances all season. We have been absolutely shocking. Badly managed to the point I have zero faith that anyone coming back from injury is going to make a significant difference. We had one of the best defences in the league last season and no ones changed, we still have the same base of our team but we look miles off it. We’ve got to the point now we’ve had so many bad results our objective of top half football looks near impossible and it’s not good enough. Simple as that for me and we’ve seen enough stats now to suggest this isn’t just a problem from this season. The warning signs were there last season when we took the huge dip in form. We have no consistency in results under Smith and we’ve seen that every year. Sure he may turn it around, but evidence suggests its only time before we see the bad results again
  19. I find it similar to United fans with Ole, everyone else can see it
  20. Yeah let’s chance it. Bottom three by Christmas is a risk, and if he turns it around and we can wait till the next time this happens under Smith. And if it continues to go downhill it’s going to be less and less attractive to any potential new manager. There’s an international break now, 2 weeks for whoever to come in and work with the quad. If we don’t take the chance now we’re in for it.
