  1. Gambling may be a mug's game. But gambling on next manager is a mug's mug.

Well then we're not so far apart on him at all Trent

    Barton

I think Barton's punishment is justified FWIW. People saying others wouldn't have gotten 12 games are probably right but that's because Barton has previous and Barton continually shows that he isn't learning. If you show 'form' then you will be dealt with; at best; with reducing leniency each time. Others are there to judge him. I bet everyone was glued to the telly that day and some will have had a giggle that they'd never admit to. Putting your head above the parapet and admitting that you like the anarchy in football is not the done thing on internet fora that are (as a medium) legendarily sanctimonious and hypocritical when they see the opportunity to be. As I said, I think Aguero will live a full and healthy life after his near-death experience. Whatever happens Barton will be deserved. But I and many others will be watching; popcorn in hand; for the next installment. I'll just be one of the ones who admits it

    Barton

I missed the length of Tevez's ban for the initial punch on Barton. What was it again? I'm just joking, I know the scar-necked troll got off scot-free. As long as the only bad person in football gets loaded with penalties, everyone else is free to do what they want (especially to him). It's the lack of people questioning the Tevez incident that completely baffles me.
  5. "Apparently" is my new least favourite word. Surpassing "untenable" which held the crown for only a few weeks beforehand.
  6. Win-win for me. If it's someone I like, then I'm happy. If it's someone I don't like, then I immediately cancel my sports subscription with Sky and save about €500 per annum.
  7. Of course he's happy there. That doesn't mean he wouldn't move.
  8. I couldn't decide between him and Lambert. Now I don't have to. Just sort out Lambert now please Villa, for the love of McGrath.
  9. "I'm Shying Away". That's it. It's over. He's not coming.
  10. The worry is definitely that we will have missed out on a fantastic manager. 'The next big thing' as I've called him before. I'm excited by the other journey we might be about to embark on too though. And I know we can't have everyone at the club!
  11. You probably haven't even seen him for a few years.
  12. Pff. It's there to avoid. Just like there's a wonderful "All-purpose" religion thread that makes those topics easy to avoid too. Wonderful. But not so when you click them. Noooo.
  13. OGS and Rokke are going out later for a whale of a time. Oil bet you anything they are.
  14. Accidentally clicking on the 'What song are you listening to now' thread and reading all the show-offs before quickly realising what you've done. Ach, thpuh, spit, ack.
  15. Whatever about speculating on the relevance/significance of a manager travelling here, there and everywhere. I find it harder to play down a trip that also included Solskjaer's wife. She would only be involved where his family are concerned and where something other than staying in Molde is at stake.
  16. As long as he doesn't get rid of Glenn Roeder. That would be the final straw.
  17. I agree Richard. I think there are a few reasons to be confident that they have learned something. The speed at which they dumped Eck and the speed they seem to be hiring his replacement (we'll know how fast soon enough). I think they are learning and it's why I'm more positive about our immediate future than I have been in a while.
  18. Starter sounds interesting/brave. Good luck!
  19. Is this Faulkner in the woods around Kristiansund? Hard to say.
  20. Which is it? Are they full of shit or do they fix their phone-in competitions?
