  1. He has something that our other midfielders lack totally. Composure.
  2. Richard, You were full of optimism when PL arrived and you posted that you felt he would be backed, so can we take it that you now believe what hairyhands/TrentVilla write is the truth, and therefore we have all been duped by the owner?
  3. He probably is looking forward to better draft picks from finishing bottom.
  4. I have wanted to be positive and we know that Lamberts hands seem a bit tied, but I said on here after hearing his pre-Ipswich press conference that I was worried by his lack of any apparent plan. He was all talk about we'll sit down and see what we can do, and January is a bad month for bringing in players etc. We are a shambles defensively and in midfield, but we haven't hit the ground running during this window. If new players arrive post a defeat to Southampton, then it might be too late as the fans will have turned. Lambert looked like a broken man on the sideline last night. He might just realise that the players he has are not good enough and that his transfer kitty is not big enough.
  5. We didn't match them for effort last night. It's the managers job to ensure that the eleven players who he picks are properly motivated and ready for the battle. If he can't do that, and the signs were there last night, then we have no hope. Southampton is now a make or break game for Lambert. Fans will be on a knife edge and if we go behind and are struggling, the mood could turn ugly. If this happens it will become untenable for him and this very fragile team will sink under the pressure.
  6. Also to be fair, Tranmere had players like Aldridge and were in the second tier and narrowly missed out on promotion to the premiership reaching the playoffs for three years in a row around that time.
  7. Don't know if it's been posted already but I read on another site that their entire team cost £7.5K and that was for Hanson who was stacking shelves and playing for Guiseley.
  8. Maybe Lambert is thinking ahead and avoiding another run-in with Chelsea.
  9. It's hard to blame them. Every neutral will be cheering for the underdog.
  10. They could have had a few more too. We don't look out of place against these.
  11. Especially as Levy would probably want £10m for him.
  12. Remember how we ended up paying wages for Jenas last year when he couldn't play. Christ, we won't go back there this year surely.
  13. Spurs always seem to get the better end of deals with us. I bet they still can't believe Hutton and Jenas.
  14. It's a bit like rummaging through the bargain bin. A lot of dross and unwanted items but you might find something useful if you are very lucky.
  15. It's the one position that we don't need to worry about at present. Either are capable of doing a job and keep each other honest.
  16. Forest fans are a little concerned about the start that Alex has made there.
