I agree Fellani and Rodwell bullied the midfield which led to us releasing the ball too early at times. Cahill held the ball up much better than Bent who looked far from fit.

Situation reminds me alot of Berson who was a similar player.Looked composed on the ball but no real drive going forward and lacked pace.Alot of people rated him but managers only played him when there was no other option. Liverpools problem is they have used all the Torres Cash on Henderson and Carroll that ,IMO is why they are low bidding for Downing and apparantly Adam. It should also be noted both those deals were done pretty quickly where as Adam and Downing the bids have been low and ''some how'' leaked to the press

I don't want Downing to go and I think with the Euro's coming up he will still perform if made to stay however if he does hand in a formal request I would think we would have to consider selling.As for Liverpool apparantly scoffing at £19mil well Ash apparantly went for close to that with a year on his contract ,a deal up to £20mil for Henderson and £35mil for Carroll then I'm sorry £20mil is the going rate so pay up.

Also consider we have seen with Barry and Young selling an England international in the last year of thier contract will still generate a decent transfer fee.Secondly I would assume Mr Downing will want to play in the Euro's ,should England qualify so should he stay he will have to play well to not lose his place.

We got : 17mil Ash 12mil Barry 24Mil inc Ireland for Milner I don't think you can say the board let player's go on the cheap.If he goes it will be for a good fee and given the prices Liverpool have paid for Carroll and Henderson 'd expect nothing below £20mil
