He has to stay! He has built his own team now, I think every player that plays was either his signing or has came through the ranks since he joined. Think the only regular player to have played under O'Leary was Gabby, who only played a couple of games under O'Leary. I think Villa fans need to be a lot more patient. Talk of wanting O'Neill out just because we haven't managed to get 4th (which still isn't impossible) is ridiculous! Yes he has his flaws, but who doesn't ? If he were to leave, then who would we get in ? The only person I would want is Mourinho. But if I was offered Moruinho now, I'd say no! Because O'Neill has built his team and he deserves a good shot at it. I've said it before and I'll say it again! We are fighting for 4th spot and we are against 4 very good teams for that 4th spot. Only one team can get it, would be massive if we did but we probably won't. It's not an under achievement finishing 6th or 7th. It's just that it would be a massive achievement to get it. Expecations are far too high. Fed up of repeating myself. For anyone reading this who wants O'Neill out, then who (realistically) do you want in who you think will do a better job ? I am intrigued to know.

Nice to see more agree with me than not. I don't wanna come across as a moaner as I'm very happy with the setup at the Villa at the moment. Its just that I know that with a dangerous on form striker up there with Gabby, I know that we can get into that top 4.

See this is what I mean, Carew misses two chances and he is unlucky. Heskey missed two chances also and he is labelled 'USELESS'.

It's not the truth, just your opinion, and not one I agree with. Carew had more chances yeterday than Heskey has had in ages. Here are the facts : Carew has started 11 games this season and came on as sub in 13 and scored 5 goals. Heskey has started 18 and came on as sub in 8 and scored 4 goals. So goals to games ratio is pretty much the same. And overall I think Heskey has played better for the team. So for me, Heskey edges it. You're right it is only my opinion, but a lot of people seem to share it with me.

Carew has had plenty of chances this year, and he does nothing. Truth is, Heskey has looked a lot better than him recently. Says it all! I really like Carew, seems brilliant but everything just seems like a joke to him now. Think he is happy with life in Birmingham, always see him out with a different girl every week, in all the cool bars, having the time of his life. He just seems happy to sit on his 40k a week and see what he can do. Footballing wise, he's been pretty dreadful, and I think its a mixture of injury and a lack of effort. Carlton Cole, Darren Bent, Kenwyne Jones and Kris Boyd. They may not be world beaters, but at the moment I think they would all do better for us than Heskey or Carew are doing. Especially Darren Bent, think hes a great player with a good eye for goal. We'll see. In Martin I trust . . .

I hate to be negative at what is such a good time for our club, but is anybody else very disappointed in Carew this season? He's really let us down in my eyes . . . If he could play half as good as he can, then I think we would be comfortably 4th. For me he scored one goal worth talking about this season, and that was the winner against Stoke. Gabby gets stick, but look at all the winners and good performances he has put in so far this season. Carew seems to get away with murder with our fans. He could shag all our wives/girlfriends and we would still **** love him! He's even making Heskey look good at the moment. If we can get any sort of money for him this summer, I think we should. Hopefully Fenerbache haven't been watching him and are still interested. Maybe get £2m or so for him in the summer and put that towards getting someone who is fit and looks like they want to score goals and get stuck in! Cos at the moment, Carew just ain't doing it for me!

never heard of him but there must be something about him if o'neill is making a move. I'd hope to keep Sorenson though. I think he had his best season in a Villa shirt last season and maybe better to come. Mind you, we have got two derby matches next season!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you're both right about swp actually. i didnt think about his dad hating sven lol. however he has also been quoted once saying that villa had the worst fans and he didnt like our fans . . . so if swp is going to let his dad make his decisions for him then i dont think us, west ham, tottenham or man city would have a chance lol. newcastle maybe??? i pray its us though. Having him would also allow us to make Agbonlahor the person who plays off Carew.
