  1. Answer is obviously hell yeah! I see you are already assembling your squad. Great job.
  2. 100% this. Can I come as a sort of legal adviser please?
  3. Yep. Hence why it would make sense so well done to the one Representative for Wellingborough inventing (?) this.
  4. HP... Just some random FB geezer. As I said, likely rubbish but could make sense if Henry is the man for manager.
  5. Overmars to be at the match....? Likely rubbish but would strengthen Henry for manager claim.
  6. Thank God, I guess. But is this confirmed as real? Would Marriott really engage in this kind of communication? Hope so.
  7. Agree. Quite simply cannot be true. IF true, however, I seriously need a break....
  8. rather dead quiet than the endless beating of a drum....
  9. For the love of McGrath and all that is holy and sacred, please no. No drums or any shit like that. We are not Bolton.
  10. It is not going to be Moyes or Big Sam or anyone of that ilk. No effing way. These owners we now have are aiming much higher and my bet is on someone which has not even been mentioned here yet. Someone completely surprising with an international pedigree and who likely will drive this place into meltdown (not that it takes much for that to happen at VT), for better or for worse. That, or they have lined up a combo of Henry and Wenger.
  11. dont you worry about that, this is Villatalk...
  12. Thank you Steve for trying your best, I have no doubt about that. One of the managers in recent times who were truly proud to manage Villa and who there is absolutely no reason to either mock nor ridicule or verbally abuse. He who took charge of a rotten bunch of Representatives for Wellingborough and a broken club. Still, this was too big for you, quite simply too much and I agree with the ones now saying: take a rest, you obviously need it, and good luck for the future.
  13. wow. just wow to that article from Kendrick. Surely this is just a formality now, no way would Mat come out like this unless things are in motion.
  14. Not sure if we disagree but I think we have more than enough players in starting XI and matchday squad to play good and attacking football and with Rodgers I am sure we would.
  15. Do not agree with this, I think we have a lot of gifted players who should be able to play attacking football. We just have a manager who has no idea how to do it or how to utilize the players he has brought in.
  16. When he first arrived I actually think he did a good job - he inherited a club still in shambles and he did "steady the ship", got rid of some rats, got in some good players with a good attitude and got the ship moving forwards again. No small job that, thinking of the state of that ship at the time. Also, no doubt he wants to succeed at Villa, he knows this is his biggest job as a manager and he clearly is proud to be the manager of this great club. That being said, not being promoted last season was a total failure with the squad at his disposal. "Only 90 mins away" is moronic, we should never have been in that final, we should have been in the top 2. And, in his third season we still have no plan on how to play, no composure and no structure. No surprise really, we knew he "does not do tactics". In his third season and following unprecedented resources for a club in this division, we still have a squad which is so unbalanced you could not make it worse if you tried. In his third season he is still playing many players completely out of position and he has no idea what his best 11 is. In his third season his attacking "style of play" is still dependent on some magical moments from one of his best players, or scoring from a set piece. Spending pre-season tuning the team to a 3-5-2 formation and then starting the season with a different formation. Loaning out a classic CD when the squad was screaming for a new CD and now, of course, being punished for that when Chester was sent off and will be unavailable for 3 games. Packing the squad with attacking and creative players when he has no idea, no idea whatsoever, how to use them. Let's be honest, he has never been a manager for attacking play anyway but now, probably under pressure from new owners to create a more attacking style of football he is being asked to something he quite simply is not able to do as a manager. I get it, the job was extremely tough when he came in and it still is one hell of a difficult job. But time is up and should have been up after the failure last season. I am sure you tried your best Steve, and no doubt lot's of the players like you, but you failed miserably and you need to go. Now.
  17. Go get Rodgers and be done with it. Should be gettable with Celtic not in CL.
  18. I think he will sign for Spurs before the end of the window. No intel, but there is just too many now claiming that it will happen. Would be so typical Villa, last afternoon we had McGinn, Bryan (who at championship level is a star) in and Grealish staying - less than 24 hours we could end up with no Bryan and Grealish leaving. Hate these transfer windows.
  19. So yesterday Nursey reported that Grealish was gutted and had informed Villa that he would refuse to sign any contract and just let the current run out, and today the line is that his "decent attitude may just give Grealish a chance today of convincing Villa's new owners to let him go". So, which is it, then Nursey?
  20. Not at all ITK but announcing McGinn, Bryan and new contract for Grealish in one go later today or tomorrow would be fantastic... and not at all impossible.
  21. Apparently you do... Anyway, great result today and I did not see any tears from Jack. He may be off anyway though, seeing that the manager all of a sudden plays a formation which has not been tried out in pre-season....??
