Young. I think we could defend better without Laursen than we could attack without Ashley, and his potential is important

Most ecstacy related deaths occur when people drik too much water, Leah Betts died because of this I believe. Can anyone find any cases where someone has simply died from taking an ecstacy tablet and nothing else? Its not the most sensible thing to do but its really not that dangerous.

I need to make some transfers to my fantasy team. Unfortunately one of either Barry or Young is going to make way. Currently, Barry is on 55 points, Young is on 54 and there is only 0.2m difference in their price so that is not an issue. Who do you think will score more points for the remainder of the season? Young is likely to get more assists I think, but lately he is not as effective as he has to deal with being double-marked. Barry plays a more defensive role, but takes corners and pens.

Just got back from Vegas, has a great weekend, but a very disappointing result. He never looked like winning, Mayweather was too good and Hatton ran out of ideas fast. Must have been over 30,000 Brits out there. I think 6 CCTV venues sold out as well as the fight. Heard no end of Yanks saying "It seems like everyone here has a British accent." The Setanta commentary was a bit dodgy. The guy thought it was 1997 at the start of the fight and went well over the top in round 9/10 as if Calzaghe had it won when Kessler still looked like he could land a KO punch. The co-commentator had to tell him notto speak too soon.

I agree, kept things ticking over at times but not a great deal more. The report says Gardner struggled and is not a right back. A few lines later it criticises Petrov who played on the right. Now I'm not really sure if he was supposed to on the right side of 3 in the centre or one of 4, but he was poor and left our right side very exposed for Gardner to deal with on his own, so give the lad a break. Petrov also left us with no options down our right - what exactly was he doing? Also, I don't know how you can feel sorry for Baird as he only brought Young down twice. The first was a textbook yellow card, and the second he brought him down as he drove into the box - another sure yellow. Perhaps we would have had 2 more goals if he hadn't commited those fouls. Should we pay players 'top 4' wages inm order to get into the top 4? Or should they be paid top 4 wages when they achieve a top 4 position? West Ham are paying players like Craig Bellamy, Lucas Neill and Kieron Dyer over £60,000 a week and imo that will not get them anywhere near the top 4. Its not just as simple as throwing money at players in order to get into the champions league. It is something which is going to have to be built over time. The board have said this is what they want to do, and having done so much to build a better base for the club so far, they deserve to be given much more time than 2 transfer windows to prove their ambition to get the best players on the pitch.

Not that I'm against the signing of Koumas, but if that were true would it not be a good reason not to buy from there - we're trying to push on? I don't think it's a stretch to say West Brom have the best squad in that division, this coming season or infact the one just gone. Who would you put them on a level with in the Premier league? I'd say easily a team like Man City or Wigan. Koumas is their best player by quite some distance IMO, so does that put him on the same level as a Barton or a Baines? Maybe not, but do you see what I mean? Thats a good assessment. Koumas is by far their best player and I think he would prove to be quality in a better side. He is not world class, but not every player we sign can be.

Zenden is not good enough for Villa

I thought it was quite a good game, a lot more open than I expected. Watford's defence left so many gaps which we got through many times, but couldn't finish. I don't think the players played below average. I saw a team which knew this was a great opportunity to stop a bad run and went for it. I was really impressed by Bardsley. Composed, strong, mature. I noticed he was very vocal when we were defending set pieces too. The substitutions didn't raise any eyebrows for me. If you hadn't noticed, we didn't exactly have a bench full of strikers. We were making chances but the front two weren't going to put them away. Good substitutions by MON, Berger having an immediate effect, and Samuel allowing Barry to push further forward. We certainly weren't playing for a draw bringing Samuel on, it was pretty much the only option.

Taylor MOM?! They were all poor and I understand that he only got a 6 and still won, but he let 3 goals in at his near post! I also thought Davis did well when he came on, better than his other appearances this season.

Wonderful to hear your opinions, as always! Well, I'm in at 7 today so I can get to the game tonight. Did not enjoy waking at 5:30! Its been a while since I got left the house in pitch black darkness, very depressing. I do like the daylight and although the doctor says its better for you getting up early, I prefer it being light when I need to get up and leave. Its nice to have a change but I don't think I would be happy doing it permanently. So, in conclusion, I'm sticking with 12-8 (an unpopular choice it would seem). I can always swap if necessary.

I currently work 12-8. I have the option of switching to 7-3. A lot of people say "12-8 takes up your whole day", but I like it. I do do things in the morning (like go to the gym, boring house maintenance stuff, shopping etc). I live in London so its nice to do things when its quiet in the morning. The commute is also so much better than at rush hour - I travel for nearly an hour. Its good never needing an alarm to wake me and I can always lie in. Getting home at 9pm sucks though obviously. 7-3, I'm not sure about getting up before 6am every day, but finishing at 3 would be great, and enable me to continue doing stuff when its not so busy after work. I would have a little more time with my girfriend. Friday nights would be better, but Monday mornings worse. Pay and workload would be the same either shift. So, I put it to you, what would you prefer to work, and why please?
