No hopefully if we were to get Defour, we'd play him as an AM as he plays for the national team. Being played too deep is part of the reason it has gone wrong at Porto. He is too lightweight to play DM in this league also. don't think defour or kiyotake will be joining us in jan

Obviously you'd know better then me but from what I've seen of him, I wouldn't have thought that he would have a problem adapting to this league. Even Sylla didn't really struggle in this regard and he is infinitely worse than Kouyate. I think our midfield is so shockingly dire (and that point can't be stressed enough) that even Kouyate not at his best would still represent an improvement. He wouldn't be any worse at centre-back than Baker or Herd either. It is just speculation though. How much do you think you guys would sell him for? Because I'd assume he is a bit out of our price-range and will most likely receive offers from better clubs anyway. If we are looking for a player in that mould, I think Mbodj is more realistic. Well it's hard to tell how much Anderlecht would sell for. The've said they will do anything to keep him in Brussels until the summer, so the bid will have to be high enough for them to consider selling him, I'd say around £6-7M. There has been an offer from Wolfsburg already but Kouyate himself has expressed his desire to play in the prem so I think if we put in a bid high enough he might come to us Where does kouyate play ?? Westwood was very good for us last season some fans are pretty quick to jump on a player when he is having a hard time

Wes holohan Think Lambert know what wages Hoolahan is on, there were something in his post about finding out the cost for the signing. Don't think its from Norwich. Capoue and that unit from Anderlecht play essentially the same position, so fairly doubtful we'd get both. Need them both this season and only Anderlecht-guy will be here next season. maybe so would much rather holahan that James Morrison

It was always going to be a long job, most accepted that to start but couldn't be patient in reality. Genius! Why have we not thought of that! I'm not trying to make it out that I'm the only person that has thought this is the solution, I'm just reading what some other people are saying who cant see the bigger picture. It was clear that we needed creativity after the second-half of the Liverpool game. Lambert spent ~£7m on Kozak instead.... I agree been better spending that money on a playmaker
