Yeah thats probably correct, the players seemed to be more pissed off with the fans at certain points.

People also seem to base it on the fact we had a full team out at the end of the season we really didn’t, we had the worse record at one point last season for injuries. With almost 4 or 5 first team players out, only City could really cope with that; yet Lambert should have had them steaming up the league. I’m not excusing Lambert, the home record was not good enough the football at times was awful. But also at times the football has been great, just not consistantly (like most of the premier league). Its clear the team were also not playing for him the back end of last season, perhaps like Lambert they knew Randy wanted out, who knows. A clean slate with hopefully the bomb squad back in and over any hump they might have, bit of luck with injures i think we might do okay, nothing else we can do really...

Bent might actually be worth having if over the summer he learns how not to be shit and not be a lazy bastard. Goal scorer is all well and good when he’s actually doing that, all the rest of the time its like playing with 10 men.

Personally i think Lambert reckons he get get us going again with the current squad and a few clever buys. Start the season well, get the points on the board, fans will quickly forget and perhaps get the new owner on side. I hope that is what he is thinking as at least we’ll have someone giving it ago during the mess. Lambert was at fault for a lot of shite last season, but with Vlaar for a full season, Okore, Kozák and Benteke back its not all as bad as fans seem to think.

First season is, after that its pure shite. A bit like Homeland in that regard. If you don’t mind stupid plot devices along with holes the size of a Villa defence in the plot you’ll be fine.

I am respecting Lambert all the more for what he says. He clearly cares about his job and the club. I'd like to give him 12 months with a fully fit squad (tin hat on) I also believe him when he says there is nothing imminent from what Randy has told him, so there could be interest but nothing close enough for it to happen fora good few months..

This makes no sense at all. If he would leave himself he wouldn't get the compensation, so he's probably sticking around till new owners gives him the boot, or they've promised him golden handshake. So he would come out with yesterdays statement knowing we could be sold next week would he? Nonsense he wouldn’t say a thing.

If we were close to a deal to sell us Lambert wouldn’t be here. Unless Lerner has lied to him.

At one point last season we had more injuries than any other premier league club, that along with being stripped back doesn't help. If its nothing to do with injuries then why do clubs have squads?

Club have never said a deal is close, they’ve said we’re up for sale. If people choose to believe stupid internet rumours its their own fault. Bollocks. If we have the same amount of injuries and sign no more players you might be right.

This is what people seem to forget. Okore will be back, perhaps Zog as well then Benteke after a few months. We were one of the teams with the highest amount of injures, yet we were still meant to be steaming up the league. This is not an excuse for Lambert who was shite a lot of the time, its fact about the injuries.

Villa Fans: Randy should **** off and sell the club he is not up for it anymore. Randy: Club is for sale. Villa Fans: **** sake he not selling it quick enough, not selling it in the right way.
