    I’d have started Digne and Diaby in place of Moreno and Duran. I actually think Rogers has shown some ability. Duran and Moreno have been garbage. Lenglet too. It’s a gift of a goal, but one we were desperate to give them with some of our sloppiness at the back. I find it odd we pick a team and then don’t play a system to suit it.

    All came from the passing at the back. Konsa decides to play a free kick backwards to Lenglet 18 yards from his own goal. Super, super stuff. Especially when you have Duran up front. Why wouldn’t you heap pressure on yourself 10 yards from goal?

    Slightly off topic a little, but I forgot to post after the game. I watched the game on TNT and there was a female commentator alongside Ian Darke and she was honestly one of the best commentators we’ve had on one of our games this season. She was knowledgeable, spoke about our injuries, clearly researched our playing style, spoke about the disruption to our back 4 and the effects of that on our high line etc. I know it’s a bit of a hot topic at the moment, mainly due to that idiot Joey Barton, but whoever the lady was alongside Darke was really actually very good. They both were. Much better than having to listen to the nonsensical hyperbole from that moron Drury and whichever ex United/Liverpool player they’ve rolled out alongside him. I dunno, I just think it was terrific commentary all night.

    Hmmm. Good. I suppose? Bailey looks very good. Diaby looks sharper than he has recently. I think Rogers has shown glimpses too. The Watkins injury will overshadow this result a little. Just doesn’t look like we can get through any match without losing a player to something at the moment. Let’s just get the job done and hope Mr. Ironman is fit for Sunday. Really want a big half here from Diaby. He’s going to have to hit form if we want to finish in the top 5 this season with our injuries and suspensions.
