Rodgers inherited a good Swansea team that had been put together by Martinez and Sousa. It was simply a matter of time before they got promoted. I'm pretty confident they will be found out big time next season. Lambert? Took over a Norwich team that was in a complete mess (lost 7-1 to Colchester at home) and could have easily stayed in League 1 for a few years (like Leeds, Forest, Southampton). But instead he turned it around and got back to back promotions in his first two seasons on a shoestring budget and has set them up to become an established Premier League team.

Yes, Rodgers could be next years Owen Coyle but Lambert no. Lambert is a quality manager, far superior to Coyle, Rodgers etc...

But Makoun is comfortably our best central midfielder and should be the first name on the team sheet. I'd be amazed if he's not.

Makoun is in a different league to the rest of our midfielders, there is simply no doubt about that. And now that he has a full pre-season under his belt and has had time to settle, I'm sure he will have a great season. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up getting player of the season.

I rate him but lucky to have him is ott. I think we are lucky to have him. He is easily good enough for a Champions League team.

For me, he should be one of the first names on the teamsheet. It is so obvious that when he's on the pitch we pass the ball much better.

Great news. I think once he starts getting regular Prem experience then we'll see how talented he really is. He'll be better than Agbonlahor in my opinion.
