  1. :? Strange comment. You do realise just how many injuries they had and first start players QPR fielded last night ? Hes only been their manager for few weeks. When our manager disgracefully fielded 6 defenders with Heskey and Hutton as wingers to start at SPurs he had NO injuries . That was his first choice selection. Besides QPR didn't lose 2-0 last night did they? Nah, they were all pretty much the same abject, toothless performances despite perhaps the number of defenders on the pitch and amount of injuries differing. Before the game this new manager and their new players were bring cited as reasons why the would probably beat us.
  2. You're right, but that's hardly the description of an absolutely terrible or dire performance is it? And I don't think we were outplayed even for a minute. We may not have been able to create much in the first half, but there was only one team in it imo. It's almost as if Hughes was using our performances against Spurs, United and Liverpool as a template.
  3. Absolutely terrible, really? OTT much? We may have lacked the cutting edge and desire we showed in the second half but it was far from a terrible performance. 68% possession, 8 shots and a goal is anything but terrible, I'm sorry. It wasn't great, and certainly needed improvement in the second half. Improve we did and immensely at that which was no doubt thanks to the booing or some other phenomenon.
  4. This. Best player at the club along with Bent. We should build around these two.
  5. His assist reminds me of his one for Van der Vaart at VP last season.
  6. I can't help but feel that if Gardner started instead of Clark (against Arsenal as well) he could have got himself a goal or two considering the promising goalscoring positions Ciaran got himself into. But being the defensive-minded player that he is, he couldn't take them.
  7. But not the same as those telling us how the 1st half wasn't dire - my missus doesn't know anything about football but could identify the same as above Meh, still not dire. Pedestrian yes, unpenetrating sure. But we still managed to create a goal. Dire would be the performance against Swansea for example. Besides I thought Eck was a liar :winkold:
  8. It wasn't brilliantly exiting but it wasn't dire is my point. The second half though was great.
  9. It's a complete myth that we played dire football in the first half. 68% possession, 8 shots and a goal from open play is hardly dire football.
  10. I was referring to this game in isolation. And we were almost as dominant in the first half as we were in the second, and even had a goal to show for it.
  11. I remember people saying that they wouldn't care about the results as long as the football was entertaining or at the very least that we attacked the team. We were unlucky not to get at least one penalty and on Warnocks superbly placed goal. On to the next game I say.
  12. It's probably because Warnock was decent at the start of the season while Hutton has bern consistently bad. Although he put in a good performance today.
  13. Restlessness and quietness would've been a better and more logical alternative to booing.
  14. It apparently helps the team start playing better football.
  15. Even in the first half we had 58% possession 8 shots (6 on target) and a goal. Hardly shit like some are making out. All of a sudden QPR are shit, but before the game Hughes and his side were being tipped on this site to win and comfortably at that because of their new (superior) manager and players (who are now the excuse as to why QPR were shit). Yet it was Hughes who was sitting back on a fluky 2-0 lead for over an hour and got completely destroyed by his counterpart in the process.
  16. Even in the first half we were completely on top, but lacked that cutting edge we had in the second...so I dunno how some are saying we were shit in the first half. And lol @ the booing made us score.
  17. Really entertaining game. Ball on the floor the entire game, starting from Given.
  18. Warnock for Gardner would be a great substitution. But then again so would Warnock for the wind.
  19. Second half set up quite nicely. Despite the negativity we've had almost 60% possession with 8 shots to their 2. Btw I think Cuellar has looked excellent.
  20. surely scorelines aren't indicative of a RB's performances? but yeah, he isn't very good at all.
  21. It's true. thhe atmosphere at VP when things aren't going swimmingly is pretty poisonous. and it was the same last year. I was watching this goals of the season (last season) programme and one of the goals was Jarvis' winner at VP. I honestly thought someone muted my tv for a second that's how bad the atmosphere was.
  22. Someone asked for a Puma kit, so I did one i was just kidding, i wanted to see the Puma kit too.
  23. I remember him being pretty decent going forward (still a shitty defender) for Spurs last year. But this year, good grief. I find myself yelling at the screen every time he gets possession to just give up the ball...give it to Collins if you have to. Don't even get me started on his defending.
