I'm not an ST holder because I live in Kent and its just not practical. However, I am genuinely interested in why you would consider NOT supporting the club both financially and in person. Say for example we appoint McLeish, and we win our first 6 games and are in CL contention by Xmas. Will you come back? Would you then leap on the bandwagon and support the club again. It doens't matter who is in the Manager's Officer, or who pulls that beautiful shirt on. You are (apparently) a Villa fan. And a bloody priviliged one at that in that you are able to take yourself onto that hallowed ground once fortnight. If you love this club, support it. Regardless of the difficulties we experience on the way.

At last, someone I can fully agree with. UTV Even if the managerial appointment is so non-sensical that it completely defies any logic or belief? I, personally, can do nothing about which manager is employed (wish I could) but I can do something about which team I will continue to support. If the eventual manager's appointment is proved to be the wrong one, we will then have to go through this nightmare again - I will still support Villa. I only hope and pray that the right manager is found soon (albeit more by luck than judgement). When I say I will always support Villa, I naturally mean that I will also support whichever manager is in the dugout. The Board will realise if they have appointed the wrong manager (they are not stupid) and it is then that we will go through this nightmare again. UTV

Agree with M to Withe about Pool but most Teams are concerned about playing at Old Trafford - in our League position, I will be very happy with a point. Regarding GH - I must vote Yes. He has got rid of dead wood and brought in potentially CL players

In my Post a few days ago, I reminded Villans of Neil Diamond's songs being played over the PA System during the 70's. I mentioned "Beautiful Noise". Maybe I'm a bit late in suggesting a new Anthem but I think this would sound terrific (just don't ask me to compose the words lol). Any feelings on this?

This is my first Post on Villa Talk, so hope that I am not going off your theme too much - in the 1970's they used to play Neil Diamond's "Cracklin` Rosie" over the PA system (I still get a tingle when I hear it now). Any thoughts of getting that played at some time before the matches or "Beautiful Noise"? Great rousing songs by a great singer.
