best form of defense is attack! that dosnt mean throw eveyone forward, controlled atacking, not leaving urself short at the back player drop back covering players going forward, ECK idea of a good at attack is getting ur center halfs and keeper to time wast in the first half, JOKE ANTI FOOTBALL at its best :nod: Its hard to believe managers like this still exist with this kind of mentality. Cant Eck go and watch Swansea and Rogers and learn some lessons from how they play??

I just watched the after match interview and it was disturbing stuff... What I also dont understand is how he keeps blaming individual mistakes?! Surely if we defend all game and are under constant pressure the likelyhood is that mistakes will be made during that length of time... It really beggars belief If im being honest.

Do you think Eck would survive if we lose our next two games?? I can imagine a pretty hostile atmosphere for the Fulham game if we dont get at least 3 points in one of them...

How am I? The evidence clearly shows that Suarez would of shook hands with Evra had his hand been at the normal height. Evra started the sly games in this instance and Suarez was only too happy to play along. Clearly? ha, ha, ha.. I don't believe anyone honestly believes that. The question is why, if Liverpool were so hard done by, they didn't appeal. Or if it was me accused of being racist with no apparent evidence, sue. Because I would have done, I'd have been fuming. Suarez, doesn't have a leg to stand on. That's why. Why anyone would want to defend him, is beyond me. Im not defending him for anything other than in this instance for the hand shake event.

I really hope so Trent... He is a good manager but I hope Sunderland is the club where the wider world see how limited in ability he is.

You saw him dancing away at the end next to Suarez and in the first few minutes when he clattered Ferdinand while acually trying to take out Suarez...

Yeah that is the argument some Liverpool fans are making, I've seen the video and I think its a really weak argument. Maybe, but the evidence from the slow motion seems to show that Suarez did actually offer a hand to Evra and would have shaken it had Evra`s own hand been at the normal height.

If you see the video in slow motion its actually Evra that moves his hand away first down to a lower level than when he shakes the hands of all the other Liverpool players. So I think either Suarez sees that Evra is not going to shake hands like normal then decides not to bother or he was not going to bother anyway. Both as bad as each other IMO.

What utter rubbish. I am tired of seeing this utter tripe by some. MON took over a Villa side that finished 16th. He had no preseason. McLeish took over a side that finished 9th (which was still a big underachievemnt)with much better squad .Had a preseason , whole summer to buy his own players - including £10 million on N'Zogbia - not too shabby compared to some other sides resources. To try and compare MON first season with this season with this diabolical manager who has a pathetic previous record in this league is utterly stupid. Why not compare THIS season? MON at Sunderland in 11 games has won 7. McLeish at better Villa squad has won 6 in 24 games. 3 home games all season. Shambles. McLeish has a win % of less than 25% in his whole PRemier league career - a truly miserable stat. So yes his previous rubbish record at Birmingham IS VERY RELEVANT as his record with us is a mirror image. Wake up. All this is true and his record is awful. So why did we agree to pay this guy so much money to manage our great historic club??...In reality he should be paying us for the honour...

The dire football is the main problem. We aint going to pull up any trees so the least the fans deserve is good passing attacking football...we dont even get passing football at the back or in midfield under this manager as the possession stats prove.
