hogso
Last train out of Bradford to get to Leeds in time for the last train from there to Birmingham New Street is 2037, so trains are out of the question, if you want to watch the whole match (which of course you do!) unfortunately. I use the trains myself, as I don't drive, and managed to book Premier Inn for £19 weeks back. Cheapest hotels in Bradford City Centre now are ~£40, if that's an option. If youre desperate, there is a journey that plans out thusly; Bradford Interchange 2217 - Leeds 2236 Leeds 2309 - Sheffield 0023 ** Sleep in the train station/street for 4 1/2 hours ^__^ ** Sheffield 0502 - Derby 0554 Derby 0610 - Birmingham New Street 0652 Edited January 7, 2013 by hogso
sutherland
Thanks guys, I find that totally shocking that for a league cup semi final when we are taking the best part of 5k away. There is no train company laying on 1 or 2 football specials... Disgusting in fact.
chappy Posted January 7, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted January 7, 2013 (edited) IBIS Budget hotel in Bradford is £23 for the night tomorrow and the room is a 3bed so if you have mates going it will be even cheaper. Then get an early train back the next morning? It is also very close to the ground. another slightly out there option: Megabus is a fiver Leeds - Brum at 3.50 Wednesday morning you could go out for a few drinks in Leeds then be back in Birmingham for 6am. SolihullVilla
Looking forward to this, however - cant get a train, parking major problem as only limited street parking, only 2 pubs holding 100 and 150 supporters......welcome to Bradford.
