I have a mate who a millwall season ticket holder,if you want trouble you will find it at any game, if you go and just support your team there are no problems. A big following will be in full voice, can't wait. Ps he says drink by London bridge not the ground.

I have read some articles (I.e villa blog) today, stating if Villa lose today, it would be best if lambert went ??, it shocks me why people think sacking managers is the way out of the problem...lets face it, most of us wanted lambert, and I for one am happy he's here. Thoughts??? UTV

I work in a very sales driven environment, over the years you have very bad weeks/months, one thing you have to do is not panic. 1 week ago today (i.e before the Chelsea game) we were not looking too bad, 1 week later and were rubbish. Now we have to hold the belief that in 1 week, 1 month we will be in a better position - perhaps wembley?, perhaps 5/6/7 points clear of relegation, perhaps a few decent signings. We have to believe, otherwise (as in my business) we give up.

The rail network in the uk is shite Can not get a train back from Swindon to Birmingham as the last train, the last train back is 10.05!!

Players have bad games and good ones, to say for instance he either is or isn't a first choice striker is mad. Fact is time will tell with him, but I guarantee if he scored a hat trick next weekend he would be 'the best forward we have had in years'. People are to quick to judge in life and perhaps need a little patience to see how it all pans out.

So this guy has played about 100 minutes of football and we already seem to have judged him, last week he was great this week no good? Question - are some people to quick to make a decision about somebody, maybe a society problem?

Love the villa fans on twitter and talksport today having heard about this deal happening moaning that its 'too much' and 'why are we paying that much' Cant we all just be a little bit excited that we are signing a decent looking forward that could help us no end. I would say typical downbeat villa fans but i guess all clubs have them. UTV

For the record I travel to about 15 away a season and went to Liverpool that night. However taking that away you didn't have to go to see what happened. Never turn your away fans as they are he most loyal. Mcleish was a talentless manager, my point I he actually wanted to do well and wanted the job. He wasn't capable.

Mantis, I guess it's a bit like you making excuses for Houllier, Mcleish did have a worse record. As I've said my point is Houllier showed disrespect for our great club and Mcleish really wanted to role, but was just too shit to pull it off. I could sit and have a pint with Houllier and point out the error of his ways but I wudnt give Houllier the time of day.

Both if them are shite mate, simple, Houllier insulted the club at Liverpool that night. Mcleish was a shit manager but at least was proud to have the job.

Mantis, why do fans not like Houllier, well If you went to Liverpool away the season he was in charge he clapped the kop and didn't even acknowledge the travelling fans, also touching the famous Liverpool sign on the way out. He lost it for me then.

Why do some people react too quickly. Cant you just wait and see who we sign before the end of the transfer window and then comment. The trouble with some on here is they want everything yesterday, have some F***** patience!!! Also 20 mil for Downing - we snapped there hand of a quite rightly so....payed wat over the top - good business. And finally - thanks to Lerner for his investment in the club over the past 5 years apart from (one bad season) ive had some great times, which were few and far between under Ellis (people have short memories!!!) -
Train to Euston Euston to Victoria (Victoria Line) Victoria to Putney Bridge (District Line) (the problems on the district line are going in the other direction) prehaps a different jorney on the way back (get of at Earls Court and wlak to Gloucester Road then tube to Leicester Square then to Euston.

General Have read in the paper this morning that we have no money in the summer and need to trim the squad down. I know clubs are going through the mill financially at the moment and just wondered was there any truth in villa struggling financially? The article was in the people although from an unnamed source!! Great result today and good 2nd half performance.
