You will be okay to go in at 58.

In a classrun, there are 8 people, one of each, its good fun. Scholo is hard the first couple of times you go in, but that will be just because you arent used to it. Its basically full of level 58-60 elite mobs, and 62 elite bosses. The drops are fantastic, and its a gorgeous looking place.

You will need a key to get in, or a Rogue who can lockpick. This is never a problem.

Inside, the fight is mainly against Humanoids (mostly warlock types, with shadow damage, and non elite minions) and undead melee classes. There are a couple of AOE areas, a couple of specialist mobs (some immune to all magical damage, some that explode into a cloud of poison gas when you kill them) and the whole thing is tightly packed so you really want to be on the ball with Sap/Sheep/Shackle. There are areas where you have to pull mobs from full rooms into empty rooms, Tanks and Hunters get to do that bit. It can be easy to pull adds until you know the lay of the land, so you have to keep your wits about you.

Basically, the whole instance is an exercise in crowd control. Sit in on a few for the experience. The loot is so good its well worth doing many runs. Let the Warrior pull, attack only aggroed mobs and stay in the main group. Im not sure what a Shamans job is in there as such. I think basically you offtank, do as much damage as possible and drop Totems that buff your party rather than Totems which debuff/attack hostile targets. I dont think you really have to be burdoned with too much healing unless there isnt a Druid about and/or the Priest is in the shit.

We've still got to go back to Stonetalon and have revenge on that elite mob for one shotting Dan!

"after three, onurrghhhhh!"

So explain Scholo a bit more for me Nays, what bits can I do, and what bits I can't.

Yeah to sum up what Nayson said, you will die unless you are in a raid and can get carried by other people. Why don't you try RFK instead? 8)

Well I wasn't go to try it solo numb nuts!

So this bit for the epic q then, does that just happen in part of Scholo as you go along, or is it like say Scarlet Monaster or Dire Maul where you have a choice of route?

Yep.

There is one main path, but you can skip entire sections if you should chose.

Anyway, some Alliance are just so **** stupid, arent they?

I was grinding shards in Felwood, alongside some level 60 ally mage. Got bored of my daily visits to Azshara, so i thought id get some Furbolg rep.

I was there, two or three level 50 ish Alliance, and two or three level 50 ish Horde, and the level 60 ally Mage.

No one was interested in PvP, and we were actually helping take each others tagged kills down from time to time. Must have been like that for about 30 minutes or so, the lower levels came and went, but me and the 60 mage were there the whole time.

Then three Horde rode in from nowhere, ganked the mage and rode off. I tried to make it as clear as possible with emotes to the mage was cool, and i didnt want him dead, and if he did get jumped it was nothing do do with me.

Anyway, he resses 5 mins later. I wave /sorry to him, and carry on. Then i get hit in the back with a big **** fireball, then a cone of cold. This, understandably pisses me off. Now dont Mages know that Warlocks can kick the shit out of them? Especially Warlocks with full health and mana who have just sacraficed the Voidwalker they were grinding with for a 2000 HP shield, and summoned a Fehunter to replace Voidwalker and give me 74 fire, 64 arcane and 64 frost resist in 0.5 seconds? (this talent also gives a 90% discount on mana needed to summon) And Especially ones who havent blown their deathcoil cooldown and have an improved major healthstone worth 1440 HP in their back pocket.

After the cone of cold, the Mage didnt even get a hit in. I **** massacred him. I didnt even get within 3000 hp of needing the healthstone.

I hope i made him smash his keyboard.

Just save the contents of your C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns to a CD or USB pen, and you wont need to download them again.

I think you might need to save and transfer your WDB and WTF folders (same filepath) too.

It's generally accepted on the Shammy boards that Locks are the class that we have most trouble with. This has certainly proved to be the case whenever I've duelled any of them, or been one on one with an ally lock.

It's mostly the fact that to stand a chance we have to get in melee range, and the combination of fear and pets make that difficult indeed. Add super dots and nukes that make our mail worthless, and it normally adds up to pain.

Any tips Nays?

Get an Arcanite Reaper and Windfury!

We hate fast attack speeds. Especially hard hitting ones. Dont try and out magic us, you wont. Not even Mages can do that! Hit with Purge (you should always Purge. I know i do, and your purge is better than ours offensively. Take a Duids MotW off him, and he is gimped. You might catch a Warlock out and remove one of his better self buffs, though a good one (me!) will have Detect Invisibility and Underwater Breathing on at all times just to act as a Purge shield.)

Drop totems that interupt our casting, and absorb our spells, and pound our heads in as quickly as you can. The longer we live, the more DoTs we do. Slow us down with Earthbind. We need to stand still to cast. Cant move while casting really. Only have one Insta cast which has a 2 minute cooldown on it. We cant get any distance from you, you can clearing in the woods us while we are casting, both interupting the cast and taking shitloads of HP off us cos we only have cloth armour.

Having said that, i do think Warlocks have more options of what to do in a fight thant any other class on the game, so fighting us can be quite unpredictable. Just remember the basics (we hate fast attack speeds, and melee hurts us more than mana) and mess about from there.

FINALLY!

meondreadsteed4xu.jpg

Did anybody order an Epic Mount?

Had a top run in Dire Maul. Came out with my new horsey, a nice 1h sword, the Mind Carver mob also dropped nice rogue weapon that we had to give to the arsehole rogue we picked up in Orgrimmar while Dan was AFK. Oh, and the Rogue finished 3rd out of 5 men in the damage meters. Mind you, the two Warlocks did cheat. In the Dreasteed battle (that lasts about 10-15 mins) we got this buff that turned us into **** unlimted mana super damage superstars.

Tarj picked up fantastic casters PvE shoulders

And we have came up with the plan to farm the first two bosses in DM west. With a Warlock, you can do it quite easily. The first boss is a big tree who you can run to without aggroing any adds, can be at him within 2 mins of being in the instance. The second one is a Night Elf Shadowpriest, who is in a room full of invisible mobs. Lock can buff everyone to see the mobs, and in the room, you only have to clear out one group of them (Undead Ghosts) before you can sneak around to the Boss.

Both bosses drop decent loot, including those class books which start specific quests. Can do both of em within 20 mins, i think. Then just reset and go again.

Good run methinks, but im having problems with my wow :| Sometimes the hp-bars are not working, so people die because, to me they have 100 % hp.

Would like to farm the tree though...gotta have that stoneflower staff!

Dropped some nice Shammy leggings too

God, there are times I really wish you could attack Horde players. Me and Si were helping Limpid kill pirates for a q around Booty Bay. After Si left, me and Limpid went to have a look at the islands where the three ships are moored. Anyway one island had a chest, with about 5-6 L44-45 mobs around it. Anyway I cleared the mobs so Limpid could have the chest, but this L40 hunter nips in steals the chest, and pisses off again. What a complete word removed! I followed him to try and aggro mobs to attack him, but he just logged off.

Hate clearings in the woods like that.

Im probably gonna do ZG this weekend. First time and everything, and i have just seen a movie of the final boss O.o

So if anyone wanna do a raid group and farm some stuff, i could use the raid healing practise. Even some healing add0ns if ya got.

And maybe this drops

Clicky!

Well, my time away from the game has got me thinking about not returning to it at all. Along with my music production and a few other developments over the past few days, I just don't think I'll have the time for it anymore.

And I'm not sure I want it to hook me and pull me back in either...

How do Blizzard know you haven't given the game to a mate?

And also, ****! If I had done DM I'd be the proud owner of that dagger, unfortunately I had to go afk.

If we're looking for a 5 man instance, may I suggest LBRS? Not as hard as the others that have been mentioned and do-able in 5 man. I need to farm the bosses there for Shadowcraft gear and get the parts to make my own UBRS key.
