ferguson1 Posted January 26 Share Posted January 26 Move to other football: Brentford have signed Iceland goalkeeper Hakon Valdimarsson from Swedish side Elfsborg until June 2028 for an undisclosed fee. The 22-year-old was named 2023 Goalkeeper of the Year in the Swedish top flight after keeping the most clean sheets in the division. Valdimarsson has won five Iceland caps, having made his debut against Portugal in November 2023. He joins the Bees for a fee reportedly worth £2.6m.
