ml1dch
Black Mirror = the Olof Mellberg to Inside Number 9's Paul McGrath. Both outstanding and near the top of any list you're making. But operating on different levels to each other.
TheAuthority Posted June 18, 2023 VT Supporter Share Posted June 18, 2023 S6 is a far more horror/psycho drama driven than the usual BM techno dystopia. I liked it. Even the werewolf stuff. Very B movie but it was a good twist that bought a smile to my face. A nod to American Werewolf in London which was such a seminal film for folks Charlie Brokers age when we were growing up. The Scottish one was creepy & I liked Demon 79 too. Good production values in D79 one with the sets/clothing/cars etc.
StefanAVFC
Black Mirror was more a reflection on society than massively technology based at the start. The National Anthem barely mentioned tech at all. In previous seasons, the focus went more to the tech side, and this feels like a return to the old style. ender4
Really enjoyed the first episode - Joan is Awful. Especially the meta vibe of basically having a go at what Netflix would love to do, and using a fake Netflix substitute in the episode, and then airing it on Netflix.
